Just found your site. Really don’t know of you, sorry. Wow! Amazingly good content, engaging and fun. I will be the first to say, “a million followers site” soon to be. Thank you so much! And remember me when you hit it! Many blessings Ps. Brown
The best interview I've heard from Brad, arguably ever. You learn so much about him, his playing and writing and you can see the wheels in his brain start to work when he's figuring out an unfamiliar or older lick. He's still got it! God bless
Brad’s great. Seems like a cool dude and is definitely a fantastic player. I love that he loves the guitar so much! Hard to overstate how talented he really is…. It’s pretty rare.
This is one of the best interviews I have watched .. maybe ever? Zak you nailed this! All the room to let a person speak and the knowledge to support it!
Great Interview! I had Time Well Wasted for a year before I listened to it. Blew me away, bought every Brad Paisley album right away. Became a country guitar play due to Brad. I've got a YT video of me learning and teaching "I'll Take You Back" the first BP riff I learned in 2012. Big fan of Hayden Baker too.
@@thezakkuhnshow I grew up listening to Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Glen Campbell, Buck Owens in the 1960/70's. I'm really into Waylon Jennings, Wayne Mos, Reggie Young, Buck Owens, Don Rich, Pete Anderson, James Burton...
Wow, what a great interview!!...I've been a rock, blues and metal guitarist for over 47 years, but I've come to learn about and love so many great country players through you!!...Keep up the great work!..
I’ve been waiting for this interview for years! Thank you both for taking the time to make this happen. I’ve been a fan since the first album and love to hear Brad and company live. My personal favorite album “Time Well Wasted”.
@@thezakkuhnshow Brad has a style that makes all musicians try harder and practice more. The guy is a tele playing machine and this was a great interview which I actually learned a couple of things from just by watching so thank-ya sir!
I also think Brad is just another country boy like the rest of us and has a natural comical side as well. Which we all know in the music industry he has to be up there pretty close towards the top of that mountain. No wonder he is a West Virginia Mountaineer? Kinda just a natural thing for him to always be close to the summit ! lol
Really enjoyed watching this interview, so many things flood my mind watching Brad talk about all the old songs I grew up listening to, I was 8 when part 2 came out and I instantly fell in love with brads style, he was and still is so unique, and from that point on I wore cd players out listening and trying to figure licks out long before we had TH-cam 😂 driving my parents crazy at 10:00 at night trying to figure out what he was doing, which 20+ years later and I still haven’t! 😂 Brad started me on the path of guitar, thank you!
This is the best Brad Paisley interview because YOU knew as much as the biggest fans do! I’m so tired of people bringing him on who know nothing about him and the back catalog. I’ve never seen him talk about “No” before. Truly truly outstanding.
Dude! Thanks so much for the kind comment! Pumped you found this interview! “No” is one of my faves! It’s crazy how many good songs are in Brad’s catalog!
I never realize that Brad Paisley was such a great guitar player until I went to his concert. I mean, I would hear the guitar and stuff on on his CDs and stuff, but until I actually saw him doing his thing on the guitar, I did not know he was doing that. He’s amazing on the guitar and I truly am a big fan. I can’t play anything but the radio, but I recognize talent when I hear it and see it. I’ve been trying to get to Brad’s fan page because I would actually like to maybe chat with himinstead of all these people pretend to be him. Awesome interview.
This was the coolest interview. I’ve seen in a very long time. I often find myself fast forwarding through long interviews. But not this one I loved every second.
Thank you so much for doing this! Ive seen interview after interview, and no one ever gets into the specifics of his playing. I always wanted to get myself into a position where I could pick his brain. Your questions were awesome! That thing he mentioned about sliding up to the note makes so much sense! One thing I've noticed about him is that he always has unique target notes (Saturday Night is a perfect example) and ive always wondered what his thought process was. If you do get to hang out again, I'd be curious to know if he's just mostly staying within the key and then just "lands rhe plane" near the end of the solos to resolve, or if he even thinks like that. Anyway enough rambling from me. Great video and great channel!
Dude thanks so much for watching! Pumped you found this interview and that you dug it! Ive always wondered that as well. I’ll ask him if I get in again with him! Keep rocking brother!
Being a Bakersfield area native and worked at The Crystal Palace through college, this makes me so proud to be from there. Brad has always been such a support of Buck, Jerry, and The Crystal Palace. He's the MAN! I'm still chasing his guitar tone after a decade 🙃
