    I just realized Blade: Shun is one of those multi hit attack increases with TP weaponskills. I noticed whenever I eat attack food, use berserk, or get attack buffs the damage stays the same leading me to believe I might be attack capped. I'm gonna try adding in some PDL gear to see if I can get some higher numbers.

    Since FFXI just got a wave of PDL+ in terms of Prime Weapons, Aria song, and Ephramad's Ring, could you do a video giving examples of what reasonable amounts of PDL+ will require from attack/defense ratios? I can manage +63% PDL (With SV songs) on BRD, and +66WSD+. With some mild testing, I am attack capped without SV, but same buffs I am not attack capped.

    Love these videos, can’t wait to see what else you have planned.
    Toward the end there when you were talking about which stats are good for modifying which types of weapon skills, I felt like that could be a whole video itself! I’ve always played mages but nowadays we gotta know our weaponskill builds as well and I am playing catch-up

    So once attack capped, single hit weapon skill; weapon skill damage would still be better (i.e. Gktn) but for multi-hit physical damage limit?

      If you can assume you are always attack capped (big assumption) then you can pretty much treat them as separate multipliers for the first hit and try to maximize (1+ws dmg%)*(1+PDL%) of course also have to consider if you are giving up STR or other relevant stats and you often can get more ws dmg than PDL. Weapon skill damage also has the benefit of always working on the first hit while PDL might not do anything if a key buff or debuff is missing so I might lean more towards ws dmg just for the flexibility and the less PDL the easier it is to cap your attack and benefit from the amount you have.

    So does physical damage limit + gear always work then or no? If I understand correctly it always does right?

      PDL just raises your effective attack cap, if you are already not attack capped it doesn't do anything but usually in parties with buffs on you and debuffs on your target you will reach attack cap pretty often.
