I feel like they should of went another dirction with the new relics. like blm scythe, pld/bst club, sam spear, thf crossbow, cor dagger, drk/run sword, nin great katana, war small axe, whm/sch/geo staff, brd shield etc. Instead of raw damage it should go in another direction on some weapons. Huge increases to debuffs & something like pet damage taken II -10% for avatars. Most of the weapons need like 1-3% quad attack instead of double & triple attack since those stats are being near cap at endgame.
I'm honestly more excited for the new rings than the primes. I'll reserve judgment until we have them in hand, but I'm not nearly as excited about Great Sword as I was when these were first announced. Thanks for the vid.
Would be cool if they had Coruscanti's effect of "Occasionally nullifies enemies' defense" as a hidden bonus to utilize the aftermath + any pdl+ you already have a portion of the time regardless of buffs, but I'll be happy with the weaponskills being decent.
WHY DOESNT KATANA HAVE RANGE ACC ON IT FOR DAKKEN PROCS?? REEE. What really need is for the weaponskill on the katana to multistep into dark and not have to use things like kamu to parallel the aeonic.
so the polearm give 3 lvl to pet, so thats 6% da from pet lvl right? and then 10% DA on top of that on the weapon it self. and wouldnt that also give us 3 more lvl of boost to att/def ja-haste from empathy ??
No, it gets confusing for wyvern levels, there's the 5 "levels" that it levels up from exp/empathy which provide the drg with a bunch of bonuses and there's gear that boosts wyvern level. All the gear so far just provides a stat bonus to the wyvern and doesn't boost the buffs the drg gets from the wyvern.
Dex on gun nice can hit 50% crit for the shots with pdl.. very nice for cor, they all are nice weapons but u could do anything in the game without any prime
They are "available" now but they take a long time to make and sortie bosses get buffed with no reward increase if you get to the point where you can use them so we have very limited testing but so far they all seem to be very strong ws's.
I disagree with you on the horn. It's barely speeding up singing -- only cutting two songs, since in most situations you'll sing 2x real songs -> 2x dummies -> 2x real songs. In such a scenario, you're only cutting the two dummies. It's only saving you much time in a situation where you have to do full sets of separate songs on multiple people, in which case you might do full dummies currently. But even then, there might be difficulties with cutting the dummies due to song durations. To me the horn's main benefit is the PDL song... which is kind of meh, mostly making already easy content even more trivial, since it's difficult to attack cap (let alone go far over it to benefit from PDL) in most high end content. It isn't even reducing inventory bloat by combining Gjallar+Daurdabla, because both still have use cases (debuffing and horde lullaby respectively). IMO the horn is a trap. Waste of a 6 month grind, and you lose the sleep immunity.
So I'm with you on this like 50%. The horn itself changes a lot of things in a high dispel format. Take Arebati for example, spamming dispels on the tank. Before this horn, you walk into a fight with 5 songs on your tank, 2 get dispelled and so you can try to put up songs to overwrite and not lose other songs. Whereas with this horn, you'll literally just replace the songs you had up. Carol dispelled carol replaced. Sirvente dispelled sirvente replaced. The problem with Dummy songs has never been when you have time to sing, it's always replacing songs in the middle of combat, quickly and effectively.
Zerg fights pdl matters especially when u have 3 or more people spamming ws especially b tier dps like brd, and most stuff in the game is zerg...aeonic dynamis etc

The dagger is absolute shit. It not even being the highest damage dagger in the game is ridiculous. Having the same triple attack as any of the other weapons with triple attack.... another let down for THF big time.
Like most of these DD prime weapons, its usefulness is gonna depend heavily on the WS's power. Worst case, dagger will still probably be great for RDM, whose previous best mainhand dagger was Mandau. lol

Watch the horn be +2 Song slots, rather than +2 songs, giving you a six to seven song bard.

The fact that he didn't even talk about the damage stat on any of these weapons is a big fail. Most of them the base damage towers over other remas.
