I rode it a few days ago and it wasn't rough at all. Not nearly the roughest in the world either way lmao. Try riding the 70 year old wooden coasters like the Cyclone in Lakeside Colorado.
My life flashed before my eyes right before that dive loop. I have never felt more terrified than in that moment. Not worried about being afraid, worried about my neck's integrity.
Just rode it a few days ago. Not nearly as rough people make it out to be. It almost feels smoother now than when I rode it about 6 years ago. While the track design is dated, it is still a lot of fun for people who don't live near a park with a variety of coasters.
I’ve been on this ride with the new restrains and it was one of the best experiences of my life, the Vegas landscape and the ride is fun, no pain experienced
Joel Rodriguez Ha!.. It got stuck at the top of the first hill a couple cars after I rode it...I got back to my room just in time to watch staff walk up the stairs and make all the passengers walk all the way back down...
The most painful roller coaster I’ve ever been on! In 5th grade I was so excited to ride it. It was around 1:00 am or so and I was screaming my head off in pain. Good times! Went back 3 more times in a row😂 awesome video. I can literally feel it...
@@mikeyeldey I believe it was shut down for a year or so recently to get an upgraded track so I'm sure that's why you didn't have the same experience, but in the mid 2000s it was the most uncomfortable and painful roller coaster I've ever been on
I remember riding this with my uncle and his wife when I was 14. I was so scared but it was fun. I wish we could have ridden it one last time before he passed away, but I’ll always have the memories.
I just got off this ride like half an hour ago as of writing this, and I can tell 80% of you guys haven’t been on it. It’s super fun, and this video makes it look so tame because it’s super smooth.
I went on this for the first time about an hour ago today and honestly? It wasn’t so bad. After reading all these comments about how much it hurts I was expecting it to be the roughest/most violent thing I’ve ever been on. Yeah it wasn’t SMOOTH, but it was a hell of a lot less painful than I thought it was gonna be. In fact, I’d say Coast Rider at Knott’s Berry Farm (the wild mouse with NO room for your legs or feet anywhere unless you’re a five year old) is more uncomfortable to ride than this one.
There is no possible way that New York New York would ever install a 4D coaster (like X2) in the Manhattan Express' place. If they do I will eat my hat.
@@JGuy97 is that why it wasn’t painful when I went on it today?? I had heard for years how painful and rough this ride was and that’s actually the reason why I always stayed away from it. But today I said screw it and tried it for the first time. Like I said in my other comment here, I’ve been on smaller rides that were MUCH more painful than this one. It was rough, but not so rough that it hurt and definitely not so rough that it ruined the rest of the day for me (I’ve heard stories of people having migraines for the rest of the day after riding this). Have they changed the coaster trains since then?
@@kaylasilverstein4137 Yes. They used the have trains with hard over-the-shoulder restraints. They only got new trains from Premier Rides this year with lap bars and a vest. The ride is far more enjoyable now.
@@JGuy97 took this ride yesterday and was scared because I read the comments and saw that it was not too enjoyable. I went on the ride and it was actually really fun!
As everyone knows, this coaster is brutally rough. But it’s rough in a weird way: It’s not so much that it thrashes you around, but rather that it vibrates like crazy the entire ride. The best way I can explain it is that it feels like it’s running on square wheels. I’ve ridden it several times over the years, and I always spend the entire ride trying to figure out whether it’s less painful to keep my head against the headrest, which just transfers those intense vibrations to your skull like a jackhammer, or (as I do most of the time) to keep my head away from the headrest and risk tweaking my neck. In the end, I find I have to use both methods at different times in the ride to survive the torture with minimal pain. It’s a great looking set piece for the front of the resort, but very flawed as a ride.
I rode it today, half a year ago, and a year ago. The ride is smooth. Zero pain. To the contrary - Canyon Blaster from Adventuredome / Circus Circus was painful, it gave me a headache every time I rode it.
@@nwkr Maybe they’ve done something to smooth it out. I certainly hope so, because in the past it felt like something built by the Flintstones. Like I said before, it wasn’t that it threw you around violently or anything, but that the whole ride vibrated like crazy like the wheels weren’t round, or like going fast over a washboard road. The last time I rode it was in 2019, and it was definitely in full “Flintstone mode” then.
Just went on this yesterday and the amount of time it takes you to go up at the start was so scary I thought there would be a huge drop afterwards so I was freaking out wanting to get off but it wasn't so bad lmao it was actually pretty fun
Rider Master TOGO was pretty apalling but I hear even that turd of a company shat out a few gems. From my understanding their looping mouse rides are supposed to be very good... This also suggests that they were starting to get their build quality together near the end of their lifespan
Actually, I was on it. And yes the camera is mounted, but it does actually take some skill to make a ride that is notoriously pretty rough look that smooth! :P
Well, I mounted three cameras. I rode in the back with the back seat POV camera and I haven't posted that video yet. We only had a couple of runs before the park opened so I had to get as much footage as I could in a short amount of time.
The only thing I remember about this ride was that it was cold lol. I rode it on a night before New Year's so it was like Vegas-winter cold up there. I was glad that I had my jacket on. Other than that I don't think this coaster was that impressive. I guess the only difference is that you can see a bunch of Vegas hotels and buildings around you instead of a theme park.

Alright, rode this coaster a few months ago on our last day in Las Vegas and here's my opinion: I rode it in the front the first time and it wasn't that bad (probably where you see most of the oh it wasn't bad comments) and the second time I rode in the back, the front wasn't bad at all and I would say it was enjoyable in the front. In the back however the best way I can describe it was painful. It felt like the train was on square wheels the way the train rattled, and on the last few elements it would thrash you around in the harsh restraints. So if you do wanna go on this coaster don't go in the back.
