- 3 Baby Raccoon fell out of a poorly constructed nest. I took care of them overnight. The Mom came back at 5 in the morning and brought them back up. The next midnight one fell out. I put her back and screwed plywood to prevent future mishaps. Got home today and found a discarded one, cold but alive.

Love watching these...the caring of all involved. The owls are my favorite s. Last fall I had a beautiful boarder in my tree for 3 months...Great Horned owl. Took many pics...she was quite a character. Quite saucy! When the last leaf fell from the tree, she left. I hope she returns.

I get the impression that the kits did not leave but fell out due to the poorly constructed nest! Also, apparently, she also discarded one!
Looks like some person put a dish out that attracted the kits out of the nest.
