Miley Cyrus, like Lady Gaga, is a versatile singer who in all honesty can succeed at any genre they try. With Miley, she has shown her skills in pop, country, rock, and has dipped her toes in rap. I wish Miley would let her voice shine as much as it should but her controversies usually shine over her voice and thats a shame seeing that shes mega talented. Maybe one day people will focus more on her good heart and amazing voice rather than her outfits, hair, and behavior. But either way I will be Mileys fan til the end. Been here since the start dont plan on leaving ever. Good job Miley for your Happy Hippie Foundation and turning your backyard sessions into something to raise awareness.

Just because Miley is this preppy girl she use to be doesn't mean she is a "bad influence." I watched her on GMA and people's comments in the video on Facebook were terrible. I get she is a bit crazy (lol), but what she does is HER, she is actually an amazing, talented, influential person. She can sing any type of music, country, pop, rock, rap, it's pretty awesome! I haven't been much of a Miley fan over the years. I wasn't a Hannah Montana fan really. I saw a few shows but never really went crazy over Miley Cyrus or the Hannah Montana. I have to admit it's songs like this one here that make me realize she's got some talent! I really like this one and the fact she is singing with Joan Jett. Great choice of a partner. Cool beans. I'm really enjoying some of this happy hippie stuff. I did see a vid that grossed me out a bit called do it. But this this is good

God she is so talented. Her voice is magical and how she can transform from so many styles, I think she is one of the most versatile singer/songwriters around right now. She can sing anything you give her, but make it her own. With her own style. Nornally I like original songs better than covers but this girl destroys the original when she covers a song!. I go in a trance when i hear her sing Jolene, that song has never been sung better or sung so deep that I can't even explain it (Sorry Dolly) it kills me that I don't think she even knows just yet how truly gifted she is. I believe she went thru a phase, chapter, stage in her life...call it what you will. We all go through that period in time, finding ourselves, our calling, our purpose. Again whatever you wish to call it. We only notice her choices and growing because its ridiculed and criticized so harshly because she is in the spotlight and she's been in the spotlight so long. Just try to even imagine yourselves In her shoes. Everyone would have their own way of "snapping,breakingg,rebellion, struggling,hanging with the wrong crowd, just trying to find who you are in a world where they tell you who you are and what you need to be, going crazy, partying to numb yourself and give yourself a break because you are overwhelmed overworked and over it.... but you can't just run away, you are in the light for everyone to judge you. Bully you. Everyone of us has been there... not as bad, or much worse and for much longer. But i see so much awakening in her, she will go on to do big things, inspire and bring people together through her music and her love that she gives with open arms to everyone. She is a strong women and I am excited to watch, see and listen. She's hitting milestones and I think right now, she has never been more ""grounded"" she will be a legend when it's all said and done, not a hot mess star in the tabloids
