what could be the issue when it will sometimes disconnect with OBS? i have to unplug the usb and plug it back in to work .. it is currently plugged directly to my pc. I also tried using a powered usb with the same issue. thanks !
Hey there, based on your description it's unclear what the root issue may be. If you're indeed using it in OBS Studio, you can try changing the Video Format to MJPEG. This will drastically reduce the USB Bandwidth needed and could alleviate the issue. However, would be good if you send our support team an email: e.lga.to/help and we can find out more about what is happening.
I have an Elgato face cam and can get 4k. But I’m trying ti get a 4k feed from my iPhone 15pri and promax but can’t get anything higher than 1080p even when I use your 4k capture card. Created a support ticket today but I guess it’s a little slower to get an escalated response. Do you know if anyone has ever used an elgato product to get a 4k live feed from an iOS device? If so, how?
I'm trying to record in 1080p 60fps with the Facecam mk.II in OBS, but every time I press record I am hit with encoding overloaded. I have tried many setting changes. Please help.
The options on the bottom of the Camera Hub window are for the preview quality only in Camera Hub and doesn't define the quality of the camera in other applications. Those options are limited to 60fps. For 720p 120fps in other programs, ensure that HDR is disabled. HDR uses 120fps, combines to 60fps, and then the camera is limited to 60fps.
Facecam MK.2 indeed does use multi-exposure bracketed HDR to capture a wider range of light and compress it down into an SDR image for display. This is not the same kind of HDR that is used with games, movies, or TV. But rather it's about capturing a larger amount of light-stops. However it's not the solution in every environment and we still would suggest adjusting lighting in your space and using Standard if possible.
@@ElgatoWorkshop In other words it's not HDR in any way shape or form and it looks atrocious in every possible scenario. Marketing gimmick for clueless buyers is what it is.
Is this One better than the facecam pro to record/stream at 1080? I want to stream at 1080. Thanks!

Hello, using the mark2, Camera Hub is not listing the 720p @120fps option at all, why?

I guess it is plug and play with IPad Pro as well?
Hello, I am interested to review this webcam on my channel for the Arab Gaming Community and specially Gaming streamers.
The colors look off or like bad to me
Hi there,
Please reach out to our support team at e.lga.to/help and we can find out what's going on with your Facecam MK.2 colors.
This is NOT HDR and picture is NOT properly exposed. It looks atrocious. Please stop marketing BS.
