  • Our Mobile Bar Trailer is DONE!!!! (Rum and Colt Mobile Bar PT9)
    On todays episode we finally finish our bar! Although this seemed like a quick process on here, this project took all of our free time for 9 months while continuing working full time jobs to get it done! I hope you guys enjoyed the whole project and give me some feedback on things you would've done differently! Since the filming of this videos we have booked and completed several parties. We have made a few additions to the layout that I will share in a future walkaround. Lastly, apologies for the long wait for this video! I hate making excuses but as always life throws a curveball.

    Brief Background of Rum and Colt
    Rum and Colt is a mobile bar that was conceived in the Summer of 2020. It is a 90’s horse trailer that we are converting to a bar on wheels for use at weddings, parties and corporate events. When we purchased the trailer we thought it would be a quick conversion and we could start using it relatively quickly but we soon learned that was not the case. Through this series I will be taking you through the remaining projects all the way to the finished project ! Hope you enjoy it!

    Hi James,
    I just finished your mobile bar build series. Fantastic job! It looks amazing. Can you give us an update on how the business is going in 2023? Also, I was wanted to ask if you could provide some video content about the mobile bar business in general. I’d like to hear your thoughts on the business side of things such as determining if an area is saturated (per Yelp, there are 4 mobile bar businesses in my area); pros, cons, and legal issues between a dry hire vs full service catering where alcohol is provided; what day-to-day for your business looks like and the logistics involved in making it all work. Thanks

    This looks great! Can you go over briefly how you built the frame for the back door ?

    • @jamesofalltradesny
      @jamesofalltradesny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Head over to @rumandcoltmobilebar on insta for a few pictures of it. But it’s basically a combination of 1x3 and 1x1 rectangular/square tubing. The upper section is skinned in aluminum and the lower wood portion is tongue and groove pine

    You inspired and motivated me and taught me so much, first time working with many new tools and I am proud to say I still have all my fingers LOL. I am approx 2.5 months into my conversion, approx 85% complete. This is a whole new venture for me so I would love to pick your brain from a business perspective to talk about any obstacles/challenges you have come across once you’ve launched the Mobil bar. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. How would I be able to reach out?

      @@TWgamerbuilder I must have replied to the wrong comment lol…whoops. Hard to say a total cost I’d say somewhere around 15-20k all together as a good guess. Obviously, that doesn’t include the few hundred man hours I wasn’t paid for…
