Im sitting here crying in bed as I realize that my health issues mean that I will never see these beautiful places in person, but that through you, I see them in a way..... thank you 🍵🧋📖
Thank you for commenting! I hope you can find some escapism in my videos even though I know it's a bittersweet experience. The reason I make these videos are to aid my agoraphobia recovery so I can understand a little bit of how you must be feeling ❤ Look after yourself and thank you for watching!
Have been to Bath twice & would love to return but my health keeps me at home. I love Bath Abbey & all the lovely history there. Thank you for letting me in on your lovely visit.❤📖📖
I just want to say that I sat and watched this vlog with my mother, whose favourite author is Jane Austen since childhood, an obsession she has inherited to me as well... Its been our dream to go to Bath since forever and we are sitting here absolutely loving this✨☕
What a beautiful video with soft music. Nice to see a young person who says they are romantic. I thought it had died with my generation. Glad I found your channel.
Lovely video, Claire! Visited Bath in 2012 but didn't go to the Jane Austen centre due to being in a wheelchair. Bath is lovely though. Love the buildings and history.
🫖☕ ah yes, right to the end, a month or more since your last, thank-you for a reminder of Bath's Georgian loveliness. Had occasion recently to stop on a train passing through Bath on a long journey from one place to another, and even from the windows of the train it's classically impressive. On the street the Georgian influence is both more human scale and domestic, I loved your halting on the thresholds holding a handwritten letter, it brings what seems perhaps above our place in life and beyond our experience right into the real, into our hands, as if it were cold and we could see our breath in the morning air. Thankyou for going back and releasing your September visit, very valued. Only thing I missed was a mention of the book haul at the end. Still the Sally Lunn is a bun without icing 🤔🙂
Thank you for watching! The funny thing is I had filmed (back in September) a little book haul to include at the end but decided not to keep it in 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
🫖☕️ Great video. My hubby and I love this city. It will always have a special place in our hearts. We live very close to York too so looking forward to more beautiful videos from there in the future! Happy new year ❤
🫖📖 Thoroughly enjoyed this ! I've been to Bath all three times I've been to England and I love it dearly. Thank you for allowing us to travel with you! Looks like a fabulous trip! Greetings from Texas!
Wonderful video. I'll be heading back to England this year for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. I am really looking forward to a couple of days in Bath during the trip! 🫖📚
this video was absolutely gorgeous! And all those cups of lovely tea, aaah. I'm not a Jane Austen reader - I've tried many times and I cannot get into de stories, I don't really know why or how to fix it - but I love seeing Bath and its Austen heritage :)) thank you Claire. Happy new year!

I wonder how Jane Austen would feel knowing people link Bath to her.
She hated it there. She could not write while they lived in Bath.
I think because two of her novels are set there, she would have viewed it as inevitable. From reading her letters, she had very mixed feelings!
