- I recently went on a two week solo trip through England and one of the places I stopped was Bath. I happen to be traveling during the Jane Austen Festival, so I decided to add another day in Bath to experience the festival.
Bath is a Unesco World Heritage Site and there is so much amazing history to explore there. It is also close enough to be an easy day trip from London. Come along with me on my adventure in Bath!

Loved this. Thanks you Brenda. Happy Saint Patrick's Day from Ireland.
Thank you!! Happy Saint Patrick’s day to you as well!!
I love it! Thank you for that
Thanks so much! I’m so happy you liked it!
Thx very much for this! So helpful & very well presented🏆. I will be going solo in Bath Sept 2024 & just found out that I will be there for the closing of Jane Austen's Festival - sheer luck! Your info is very helpful & I too love everything Austen!💐💐❤❤
Awesome!! I hope you enjoy it!! All the tickets for the festival go on sale soon, and they sell out fast so it’s good you know so far in advance you’ll be there!
Great job on these!
Thank you!
I was one of the Soldiers escorting the promenade to the assembly rooms, it was a damned warm day. We changed out of our kit and raced to the pub outside the city as soon as it was over.
I believe it, it was so warm!! Well done in the promenade though! It was fantastic!
You must go back for the Festival! My daughter and I went this year (trip of a lifetime) and it was so lovely. Watching your video brings back so many good memories. We stayed on Broad St, so it was exciting to see the the bus you were on driving past St. Michael's and Belushi's, not quite up to our place, but we walked it everyday. There is no place like Bath....
I completely agree! I loved Bath! I want to go back to the festival again and attend the ball!
My next destination bath city 😅😊
I hope you enjoy it! Bath is amazing!
@@BonVoyageBrenda thank you 😊 I'm so excited 😊
Jane was a Hampshire girl, not Bath!
Right! But she spent a few years living in Bath. The Jane Austen Center had some great information on her life and the places she lived.
"I'm a huge Jane Austen fan" then continues to butcher the pronunciation of Bath smh
How is it pronounced correctly? Also, books don’t really help with pronunciation lol so idk how that’s relevant.
I live half an hour north of Bath.
You are pronouncing Bath fine.
Some people (usually posh folks) say " Barrrrth" really leaning into the 'R'
Its not uncommon for Bristolians (the next big city to Bath) to say "Baff" replacing the th with f"s 😆
You won't be offending anyone pronouncing it they way you have. 😀
@@lb3530 thank you for that!!
