Excellent points made on this video Bruce: run the foam filters dry no oil which is what we also do at Eliminator. Very easy to clean when they come back for service normally every two years, whereas the oiled filters are very difficult to clean and we believe they trap way more dust build up and restrict more air flow than a dry filter. Spray around the carb base another good trick to see if your not fully sealed. 100% correct that old mower will be around until 2050 because i can see the underside of the deck is clean and not rusted so whoever owns it well done the big box mowers likely will only last 10 years before they have rotted out decks or stuck valves because of the no oil change required BS.

Bruce I see people dumping mowers after just a few years. You know the story....plugged carb and they just decide to buy a new one. Many millenials don't even bother to shut off their cars when picking up kids at the elementary school I walk past. They think that 4.40 a gallon is chump change. My WWII parents never raised the heat in winter past 62 f. I am not complaining and I like a cool house.
