I'd honestly put the Weapon perk onto something else 1s cooldown per corpse is more then enough for rift clears, I'd put "EDGEMASTER’S TORMENT STAFF" buff on the weapon (Skills deal up to 68% increased damage based on your available Primary Resource when cast, receiving the maximum benefit while you have full Primary Resource) to increase the dmg output of the Immortal build.

Increased damage based on your available Primary Resource it's really good for this build, I need to test with Blood Mist aspect in other piece instead of Staff first.

did you gamble for the explosion perk on the weapon?

It can roll on 1h/2h, amulet, rings and gloves. I got 2 aspects out of gambling with Obols for gloves, so I'd recommend trying that.
