This note 8 I have has slipped to the floor more times than had all my other mobiles put together. Today, however the back glass cracked. Thankfully out was the back.
I just got one phone my business so collecting inventory and back glass and front. And only repairing front glass if the digitizer aren’t mess up.
Failed to mention being extremely careful when prying around the power switch. There is a ribbon that connects it to the motherboard that can easily be damaged when prying in that area. Broke mine while following this procedure.

I bought the a brand new back cover without the pre installed glasses, just the cover. Does it work the same way? Is it possible to transport the glasses of the broken cover to the brand new one? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm in the middle of changing mine, there are lots of old glue on the sides. Should i remove it or just warm it up after putting new cower on ad put some pressure on it???
Thanks for this video. I made it the same way. Its easier when you start. Remember to protect your hands or be really careful with popping glass. I hurt myself by small piece of glass.

Note 8 totally waterproof , I lost my lg k7 while getting on my wave runner at dock took two days to fined mine so under water two plus days well pulled up Note 8, battery broke back glass because battery swelled up took apart let it sit two days no rice ordered battery the dam thing works unreal best dam phone ever!!!!!! My note 8 was dropped , and was broken a little portion of upper right side, Because I bought this device on USA, in the country that I live (Mexico) the cant repair the device, my question is : the cellphone can conserve IP68 certification with a little portion broken of the back glass? Don't trust it. The waterproofing is only around the edge of the phone. Once the glass is cracked anywhere, that introduces points water can get in

Very soon I will need to replace the battery on my Note 8. After watching this video I think I will replace the back cover at the same time, even though it's not broken.

@@yomamarager2179it doesn't matter as any "replacement" done on the Note 8 is through the back cover...is the first thing to come out even if you are "only" changing de front glass for example...and the Note 8 is not Waterproof, is somewhat water resistant which is a bit different...
Question.. how about the fingerprint scanner? I can use the one the new glass brings and it will work? It's not like the Iphone?
Carlos Monce Records I don’t believe so. I can’t think that I ever had to swap out the scanner. I haven’t seen the part with the finger scanner preattached either

There are new versions and new other which are taken from old handsets but in New condition.
I found it easy to replace the back. Just make sure the area where it sits is cleaned of little glass fragments.

Hi, both my front & back glass on my note 8 are undamaged, but today I've noticed that the back glass has started to lift on the power button/stylus side.. Any ideas as to what may have caused this and any advice as to what to do about it??
I don't really want to have to take it apart if I can avoid it...
Mine did the same and it was because my battery was swelling. It swelled so much it actually cracked the back glass but never noticed until I tool it out of my case. Samsung will not sell the OEM back glass so you have to either send it to them or go with the lower quality options made from tempered glass.

Abuti Engidashet good rule of thumb is once you cracked your phone it lost its water resistance. I don’t recommend to put it in water again.

You can do it yourself pretty cheap. Just look up the phone and back glass replacement and you will find lots of options

So I got mine fixed and now the back glass is popping up from the right side.
TaraChristine I would take it back to where you had it repaired I'm sure they won't mind to fix it correctly. I would hope they would I guess. Can't speak for all shops.

It's smarter to leave it in for a repair like this. It isn't getting in the way and like you said glass or other things could get in the hole

I really hate samsung galaxy note 8. They are full of shit, you get water in the charging port and you have to wait for it to dry. I dropped my samsung galaxy note 8 and the back glass is broken and i can't even charge it anymore because it says the temperature is too low and i have to wait for it to cool down but it's still like this.
