Same. AXSR currently has the 735ATACR only because this wasn’t available when I picked up the rifle. …now it’s time to upgrade 😂

S&B the King of optics. How much about £3,500 I’m guessing.

It’s interesting to me that the magnification over the years is going up and consequently, the light transmission goes down; yet S&B seem stuck on the 56mm objective lens diameter. It’s surprising they haven’t bumped it up to something around 60mm or so.
Digital add-ons in many environments have I suspect convinced manufacturers that they may as well give up the low light quest with conventional glass optics
@@chrisparkin431 are shooters using image intensifiers in combination with regular scopes at dawn and dusk? I remember Zeiss offering a Hesnoldt 6-24x72.

Apart from the lens covers, the scope seems to have a complete lack of plastic in its construction!

I’ve been trying to find stock of this model in the uk. There’s nothing available with the DTII turrets and it looks as though there’s a 2 month wait if you order now. If anyone knows of available stock in the uk please let me know. Thanks
That is a new but cheap version with Reticle illumination adjustment in the wrong place because it is much cheaper to make.
I will continue using my real 5-25x56 PM II scopes.
The illumination has been moved because it restricted mount space but you myst know better😉 i also have several of the classic 5-25's which I still think are one of the greatest scopes ever made but they physically wont fit all rifles
Proximity of any crucial adjustments is a big NO.
I like their scopes and would not swap the PM II for anything else but joining other budget brands should not be S&B's choice.
Mounting "restrictions" have never been an issue for the last 25 years and the number of mounts available now is magnitudes larger.
