that handshake does more for me than any image of a Johnlock scenario. It shows a respect, warmth, sadness and enduring friendship that is heart warming and heart breaking in that one scene.
It’s also surprisingly a good argument for johnlock because even the most manly guys would hug if they thought they wouldn’t see each other again. The shook hands because neither could hug the other as it would just make letting go harder
Oh,yes and that Johns hesistation before the that handshake,just as he wanted a hug. Perfection

I agree!! I never saw anything more than friendship in their relationship and so that's why I love videos like this:) they aren't romantic, they are just showing the genuine bond of friendship between John and Sherlock:)

That... was amazing. And very moving. A visual poem about the depth of their friendship, and the range of memories -- good, painful, ridiculous or drunken -- that have been part of it. It's so rare to find someone who really gets the power of their friendship, without having to morph it into romance. You evoke a sense of what each apparent ending would have been like for each of them, capturing deep emotion without being maudlin. This is one of the best fan videos I've ever seen.

I was upset about it not continuing but I actually like the ending now. I like that it is open just another day in their lives. You can create any future from that spot be it love, friendship, or drama. It's a perfect beginning. 😅 not to sound too cliché or dramatic.

That handshake makes me furious, not because of some Johnlock scenario or something like that, but because they mean so much more to each other than a handshake. Yes, it shows respect, I suppose, but it is such an indifferent show of respect. It infuriates me because they mean so much more than simple indifference to each other.
***** Very true, and I can definitely respect that. I guess it just makes me more mad than it otherwise would because John had been pretty rude to Sherlock that episode anyways. Thank you for that, though, I like that idea of thinking!
+I Like Sherlock Too Much Yeah, of course! You may not think of these scenes as rude, but to me they are for some reason. If you have different opinions about it though, then please share them with me :) Okay, so in the scene where John is talking to Sherlock and Mary after he finds out about Mary, there's a couple of times that I feel like John was being unnecessarily rude to Sherlock. The part where he says, "Sherlock, one more word, and you won't need morphine," makes me particularly angry because Sherlock was just trying to help. Albeit, he wasn't phrasing things well, but John wouldn't have found out his wife was lying to him if Sherlock hadn't been a good person and told him. I understand that John was angry, but he was angry at Mary, so there was no reason to treat Sherlock so terribly as he was. Also in that scene, John says, "Is everyone I've ever met a psychopath?" I thought that was highly rude and unnecessary. John was always the one person that wouldn't call Sherlock that, and then he goes and basically calls him that because he's mad at Mary. Sherlock hadn't done anything; he didn't deserve to be treated like that. Sherlock had actually just broken out of hospital just to help John. I just feel like Sherlock's whole body language in that scene screams that he's hurt and maybe even slightly offended, and there was no reason for that. He was helping, at least he was trying, and in my opinion, John was being so, so rude. Those are just some of my examples. I just felt like Sherlock was giving all of himself in this season and becoming much more emotional, and John was just being colder and colder. I don't know; that's just my opinion, but that's why the hand shake kind of set me off.
+I Like Sherlock Too Much I love this too! Sherlock pretty much constitutes my entire life, so it's really great to get to discuss it like this. And I agree with a lot of what you said as well, and have thought many of that as well. It just makes me so angry, you know? I'm so protective over Sherlock LOL.
That's a very good interpretation of why John would treat Sherlock like that, and I find myself agreeing with you. For the life of me I couldn't figure out John's behavior, but thinking of it from the POV that he acts like this because he's so terrified of losing Sherlock again makes a lot of sense. People do weird things when they're scared.
That's definitely true about the saying things you don't mean. It's a very realistic portrayal of flaming anger. It just makes me so frustrated.
I think it was a projection of love, yes, but I also think it's a projection of, "John, you're an idiot!" LOL
I have thought that too. It seems like anytime Sherlock thinks something, John is immediately quick to either defend his actions, or change them completely (as with the mustache). I, too, often feel like he values Sherlock's opinion more than anyone else's. This could also be another reason for why he's so incredibly angry at Sherlock for using drugs again. There's the obvious reason that John's angry at him for putting his life in danger because of the drugs, but he could also be so angry because John values Sherlock's opinion and thought so highly, that he can't believe Sherlock would be acting so stupidly.
And I wondered that! Would John have forgiven Mary as quickly (or even at all) if Sherlock hadn't have basically said, "It's all right, John." It also makes me wonder about John's self-confidence. How low must his self-esteem be if he basically feels the need to ask the permission of someone he deems "better, smarter" than himself before he makes life-changing decisions? Usually, people will look to other friends/family for second opinions on life-changing decisions, but almost never for "permission".
The fact that Sherlock does seem to value John's happiness above everything else makes me wonder how much he truly feels that he never shows.
Yeah, the only thing that softened that "psychopath" blow, for me, was that I know it was added in for laughs. But, being as protective over Sherlock as I am, it really ticked me off. Screw it, that entire scene had me on a roller coaster of emotions.
I'm SO excited for the next season. I can't wait to see what's going to happen!

So true! Sherlock's heart is very large. I wonder what must have happened to him to make it so frozen over. It would be very interesting if they ever went into that, but I'm not entirely sure I would want to know; it would most likely be incredibly sad. And I'm not really mad at Mary anymore, either, just curious. We will have to wait and see.
In many ways, Sherlock is very role-model like, which I've always found very amusing because he claims he's not a hero.
Yes, we can always just picture ourselves there, reacting, yelling at characters who are being clots. It's all a very fun atmosphere for a show.
Wow, wow, wow. I can't believe that this show could be any better. It's already so amazing as it is, it's hard to imagine. I just love all of their creativity; it makes me day.
Season 3 was absolutely amazing, and I think it taught us a lot about all of the characters.
I wonder what villains they're going to bring in for this next season. At least we get this Christmas special, though.
John seemed far too distant in series 3. Especially in the handshake scene. I understand he was trying to stay strong but he was his best friend (boyfriend)

I like your video, espeiclaly when " water meets land' and you used the chair :) but around 0:50 you used scenes of them taking drinks, whereas I felt you missed the point by using the drinks part, the spirits and the best moments were mostly in season 1 and 2 as well
