They are so comfortable, all day comfort in fact. Pads that engulf your ears. A lot of headphone designers after thousands of dollars haven't figured this out.
Exactly! I've never heard a person complain earpads were too soft/large/compliant. It's so simple yet I'm sure most of these manufacturers see skimping on earpad quality as a way to save a few cents to a couple dollars.
The $300 price point has some dope offerings these days. You’ve got these, the new Aune ar5000 and the HarmonicDyne Zeus Elite. All have top tier, all day comfort, plus they all punch well above their prices. If you ever get your hands on all 3, it would make for a great video. Nice work as always Joe ✌️
Ohhhh how much I am in love!!! design, sound, comfort…to die for!! Tom Rosenthal, Nick Cave…acoustics never sounded better!!! I paired them with the hip dac 2 ❤ so so nice!!!!
Idk if I could use the case lol. I’d feel weird pulling my headphones out a leather nutsack in my local coffee shop 🤣. Great review I actually really like the headphones
Great review as always Joe! Selfishly as a gamer I’d love for you to go into more detail when it comes to gaming. Verticality, sound stage, depth perception, imaging, different games, etc would all be soooo good coming from you. Thanks for all of the great content!
I love the FiiO JT1s. For $69, they are crazy good. How do these compare to them? Fun fact: Your review made me buy the FT1's. Then I told Zeos about them, and he reviewed them. Then, they were sold out everywhere until recently.
Please do a deep dive into the brain safety of planar magnetic drivers! My second time writing this comment but you're the only TH-camr I'd trust on that and I love the planar magnetic sound. I'll head off the people calling this crazy as this has been a potential issue discussed by audiophiles in the past if you conduct a simple Google search.
Incredible review and comparison to the XS. What is your opinion on the comparison to the Ananda Nano? Where do you place it in your list of gaming cans? Your time, efforts, information, and sharing this with us all are greatly appreciated. Stay well, Sir.
Hello bro want to ask about pc38x … are the wicked cushion give them an upgrade or I should still use the original ones for better sound quality and comfort ?? I’ll appreciate the answer bro Thanks I’ll keep supporting you ❤
I have the edition XS, but really want to move them off my pc and move them over to my all music side instead of gaming. The XS is a bit loose on my head.
I have a topping dx pro plus and I bought a microphone. I am really torn between this pair of headphones and the kiwi orchestra lights. Mainly for gaming with music secondary.
I own the sivga Phoenix also uses the same pads but they're too thin so i got sendy apollo pads that have a deeper padding very good replacements if you own luans and need replacements. One issue i ran into with the phoenix should be noted that if you twist the connection at the headphone point overtime the wire inside the headphone can sever from the solder point loosing its sound not sure if the luan will have this issue so be careful with changing wires often(was fixed resoldering it).
Are you saying that the pads are interchangeable? That would be very cool. I have the Phoenix as well, the stock pads are not as comfy, I wonder how much it would change the tuning...
I just got them for 350usd today, coming from hifiman and Sennheiser, this headphone is so comfortable and so handsome, and the fact that it comes with a case its very nice. sounwise I fell in love with it the moment I heard it, I was listening to 21st century schizoid man - King Crimson, oh my god, the guitars, the sax, high hats, they sounded so amazing, very clear, defined, I love the treable in this thing, I admit they can come out a bit as sibilant, but I personally enjoy strong treble. Voices sound so clear as well, this headphone gets so much detail from them, love them. The only "downside" is that the bass is not that strong, there is no "thump" but for me that's okay, I'm not a bass head, still good enough for me, at the end of the day, you can always add a bass shelf and boost it to your liking. The soundstage is good but its not the best outhere, I also have the edition xs, and the edition xs is clearly superior but that's ok, the xs is a planar. Overall I love this headphone, I currently own 6xx, edition xs, sundara and considering how comfortable this headphone is and how much I love it's sound, I see myself using this all the time. I'm confused why they don't recommend this headphones, I recon in amazon it's 300 USD, so it's definitely not on the expensive side and it kinda checks all the boxes, very comfortable, very good looking and good sound.
@@cerise2206 anandas I don't have but I will get in a couple weeks, the sundaras I don't really like, it has literally no punch, there is 0 impact in the bass even with eq and I feel like other Hifiman such as the edition xs entirely outclass it. Regarding the sivga luan, the main selling point is the strong and detailed treble, comfort and looks, so if you look for those 3 things get it, otherwise maybe try the edition xs which is a better allrounder
Comfort and build are amazing, but for sound i'd still take the hifiman ananda nano, as they were both the same price. Can be great if it gets on a good sale as i would easily take these over a sennheiser (don't hate me for this lol).
Will definitely will give them a try. I am Sennheiser 650 lover, but since upgraded to HD660S2 for 300€. I recommend giving 660S2 a try, if you can find them used or refurb from Sennheiser outlet or refurb. Sennheiser HD650 were suprisngly very very good for Valorant and CS2. Saying this as long time CS junkie. Even versus HD560s and HD660s or DT 900 Pro X. But then in open world battle royal games they were much worse. DT 900 Pro X in my own opinion were pretty bad for Valorant due to back channel sounding like left or right). The HD660S and S2 were better than 900 Pro X in Valorant and 900 Pro X was better in Apex Legends. But 900 Pro X sounded boring and sibilant, so kept the HD660S2. Obviously talking stock settings. With EQ, I should had kept HD660S, they are more akin to Hd600/650 and are better gaming headphones than HD660S2 and overall headphones than DT 900 Pro X. Was planning to give Aune AR5000 a try, will also give Luan a try.
Hi joe im sending the sennheiser 490 pro back there the worst headphones ive ever heard they sound to muddy or congested there not clear i just ordered these for gaming do they sound better than the sennheiser 490 pro thanks joe
Hi joe i just ordered these i hope they sound better than the sennheiser 490 pro . Sent them back awful sounding everything sounds muddy or congested or nasory i hope these sigva luan sound better for gaming audio can you do a review on the filo ft3 headphones they also have them in 32ohms i was curious of what you think of them if i dont like these sigva luan. im going to try the fiio ft3 headphones. Whats your opinion thanks stay safe and happy gaming to all.

yes pls i just watched reviews of those by different ppl and now also interested
especially interested in aune
What are the most airy and pleasant things about simply listening to music from tidal?
Fun fact, Luan(鸾) is actually a mythological bird in Ancient China, kinda like Phoenix, it's male, and usually immortal.

Brain safety, what's that? Never heard of such a thing. Google isn't telling me much.
Solid review.

Luan or Sundara ver 2021 for Tidal Hi-Res and BF 2042, COD MW3 only?...
