@@MrJakeros😂 just finished replaying Reach on MCC. My god, why can't 343 make something *that* good? I know it's a tall order, but they definitely had the ability to do so, especially if it was a spinoff game that didn't follow up Halo 5.

I remember the jungles of Malevelon Creek, a sprawling canvas of vibrant greens and rich earthy tones. The canopy above was a living mosaic of sunlight and shadow, dancing through the leaves. It was like walking through a cathedral made by nature's hand, with columns of ancient trees and a choir of wildlife singing the hymns of the wild. The air was always fresh, filled with the scent of blooming flowers and moist earth. I recall the way the light filtered through the foliage, casting a kaleidoscope of light on everything it touched.
But it wasn't just the jungles that held the beauty of my planet. The coastlines were a marvel to behold. Miles of pristine beaches, with sands as white as the clouds above, stretched endlessly. The azure waters of the ocean kissed the land, a gentle lullaby that whispered of ancient tales. At sunset, the sky would ignite in fiery hues, reflecting on the waters, turning the entire horizon into a canvas of golds, reds, and purples.
But war, like a ravenous beast, devoured the beauty of Malevelon Creek. The atuomations landed, their metallic feet staining the sacred ground. The jungles, once a symphony of life, became silent. Trees that stood for centuries were reduced to ash in moments. The beaches, once a paradise, became battlegrounds, the sands soaked with the blood of the fallen.
The coastlines, where I once watched sunsets with a heart full of dreams, are now lined with the debris of war. The ocean, which sang songs of freedom, now roars with the cries of despair. Every wave that crashes onto the shore seems to mourn the loss of its former glory.
Yet, amidst this devastation, I find a strange solace. It's as if the soul of Malevelon Creek lives on, defiant against the ravages of war. In the charred remains of the jungle, new life stubbornly pushes through. The ocean, despite its sorrow, still cradles the land with tender waves.
As a Helldiver, I fight not just for victory, but for restoration. For the dream of seeing Malevelon Creek bloom once more. I fight so that one day, others can witness the beauty I remember, a beauty that refuses to be extinguished by the shadows of war. In my heart, the jungles still whisper and the coastlines still glow with the magic of sunsets. And it is this memory, this undying hope, that keeps me marching forward.

We didn't lose Cadia - the planet itself broke before our own guardsmen did.
Coruscant would be reclaimed by the very rebels that the Empire thought were incapable of dethroning them, let alone destroy the Death Star.
Reach may have been lost, but it's never been forgotten even today - a testament to why we fight on in spite of hardships of such grand scale.

I began my deployment in The Creek after the fall of the defense. I'll never forget those who fell alongside me. Now I'm spilling black oil on the white snows of Vandalon, helping to reliberate. Godspeed divers. Push those machines back.

I first saw Helldivers 2 yesterday. I was hooked instantly. I've been a *Halo* fan since 2012-13-ish. Halo 3 was my bread and butter as a kid. *Reach* was one of the first pieces of media to make me cry. 4 was okay enough in hindsight.
I probably have over 2-3,000 hours in total put into *Halo.* It's always been in my top 5 games ever.
Helldivers instantly brought to mind *ODSTs.* I think it wears its inspiration on its sleeves, and I respect that.
I dunno where I'm really going with this. I suppose it's just that I was genuinely devastated with how *Halo* was handled. So much more potential, gone. I kinda wish they just stopped at Reach, and left it. That would've been a better fate. So I guess, with that, Helldivers just gives me that feeling I had playing through *Halo: ODST* and *Halo: Reach.* Stuck in no mans land, with just you and your team, fighting. To live. To *Survive.*
*Believe.* Always *Believe.* For *Reach.* For *Six.* For *117.* For *Halo.* For *Melavalon Creek.*

I was one of the lucky ones. I signed up for the Helldivers at the first sign of Galactic war, because service has always run in my family. My great grandfather was a Helldiver in the first Galactic War.
When I launched, our front was the Terminid scourge. Active orders called to push them back, so we did. We cut our teeth in those opening weeks. Over 60% of us never made it home, but those of us who did... Well at least we were ready for what came next.
When the Automatons struck like cowards, we got pulled out. Sent to the Creek, armed with Shield Packs and Railguns, just watching the new kids get torn apart en masse.
If their sense of duty had been stronger earlier on, they may have had more of a chance. But democracy doesn't determine who's right, it determines who's left over.
And we will fight until our last boots hit the ground. - for super earth.
Halo veterans who miss a good halo game since probably 2011, at last have a good game...

A corpse slumped against the rubble of a concrete barrier. A fist clenched in defiance. Thousands of kilograms of high explosive ordinance, streaming down like desperate rain.
Capes flutter. Hungry bugs crawl across twisted, vacant, rotting soldiers. Helmets shroud the dead.
Silence commands the attention of a breeze that sweeps the blasted land and carries no breath.
We fight. We die. For Super Earth.

Born from the legacy of the old war, I began my second campaign in the creek. Redirected from operation "valiantly enclosure" it was to be a quick in and out. It's a simple scout mission...
Shorty after they came for us. We tried to hold the line at the creek, but after setbacks, We couldn't stop them. Little did we know how ruthless our foe was. Young and proud we underestimated their cruelty.
After a dozen operations in vain attempts to slow down their march, were we redirected to defend near by sectors.
What started as a simple scout mission became brutal evacuation missions, not a sector away. Planet after planet, we push back. As of writing, 5 planets have been successful in the defense against the unrelenting waves. Less and less squads are returning... even fewer citizens.
We spill oil not to defend our homes but to avenge those who could not. Even now, a small force holds strong in the creek.
In the end, i hope to see that Creek were we remain. To see myself and show how much oil we spilled. To tell them we are free...

I've lost friends. I've lost limbs. Yet I'm still here, doing all I can. Malevelon Creek needs heroes, but it'll have to make do with me. I can only pray I'll live to see the reserves.

The Helldivers Deploy!
I joined the Helldivers for what seemed like a long time ago. I joined not only for the promise of glory and liberation of other planets but to provide democracy and protect the borders of Super Earth... for our earth. Little did I know that the training that I had gone through was only but a small taste of what horrors I would witness on those planets.
I boarded my Super Destroyer, eager to join the fight against the Terminids. To push them back and become a leading force that protected all of our super citizens. I used FTL to travel to my first ever planet, rallying with Omega squad. I stationed my Super Destroyer next to one of my allies and boarded onto their ship to greet the rest of my team. We exchanged pleasantries, shared stories of our past, when we joined the Helldivers, and what was waiting for us back home. Reminiscing of the days back on Super Earth and talking about how they wanted to get back to their families as soon as this galactic war was over. If only it were so easy...
We embarked on a perilous mission where I unfortunately had been the only survivor of Omega squad. I shall never forget my team and the sacrifices they made for Super Earth. We gave those bugs one hell of a fight and I still have a scar across my left bicep to remember those wretched things by. Once I returned onto my ship I stared out into deep space for what felt like hours. It was turning into Dawn on the planets surface which made me realise I had found the perfect name for my Super Destroyer... Hammer of Dawn, for I vow to lay down righteous blows onto the enemies of Super Earth!
I started out as a Cadet, as did we all. This is not a message to discourage any fellow Helldivers. This is a message to rally them. I was stationed on the eastern front of the galactic war fighting the Terminids. I only heard mere stories of the horrors of Malevelon Creek. That is why I will be repositioning my Super Destroyer to contest against the Automatons, wish me luck Helldivers for this may be my last transmission and if it is then, I speak to you now to say, no matter what you have or will experience in this war know that all of our Super Citizens are counting on us. Don't let them down! Keep fighting the good fight and remember all our fallen brothers and sisters. Give them hell Helldivers. For Liberty, for Democracy, for... Super Earth!
