I lived in bg in the 70s and 80s. Some of my best memories are from my time spent there. A piece of my heart will always be there. I love you Bell Gardens❤️.
Moved to Bell Gardens in 1976 and moved out in 2003. Went to BGE,BGI and Class of 90 at BGHS. I have seen all the changes,people come and go. My Parents still live there and my grandfather too. My grandfather 1st moved to B.G. in 1960.
Probably the best years of my life were in Bell Gardens. I moved to to BG from City of Commerce in 1984 when I was 9 years old. I lived on Perry Rd closer to the corner of Florence Ave. When I lived in City of Commerce I attended Suva El...then went to Suva Int. when I moved to BG...Mr. McIntyre was the Principal. I also remember going to the Boys and Girls Club often and seeing BIG TALL Ike...dude must have been 6'-5" or something! I must have spent a MILLION dollars on video games at BBB Market...at that time it had Chinese owners and they lived across the street in that 2 story house! I remember "Super A" market and when Perry Burger first opened! Before Perry's Burger I used to always go to Toms Burgers (I think it was named "Frisco Burger" back then or maybe that was what I ordered...a hamburger made with sandwich bread...cant remember). I also remember fishing in the pond at Ford Park with my friends! I moved from BG to San Diego in 1988...due to a spike in Gang violence and my Dad not wanting me to get caught up. BNH, BGLS and JM ran the streets during my time there. I vividly remember a dude they called "MAD DOG" from JM...dude was a real one! BG looks a lot cleaner now. I go on Google maps and I don't even see graffiti on the walls! Glad the place cleaned up! I'm 46 now and still live in San Diego. Great video and thanks for taking the time to make and post! Damn, reading thru the comments and it seems people didn’t stay very long. I got in 85/86 went Suva elementary, Suva intermediate, and then BGH. But I moved after my sophomore year. I’m 44 now and still keep in touch with a few friends I made.

That is, Unless I blinked and missed it. If/When you do a 3rd installment, can would you be be so kind as to include it in the video? Keep up the good work.
Went to Suva elementary back in 1988 1989. Played little league baseball with the Sf giants at the baseball diamond at Suva elementary. Goodtimes no phones to play on back then.
Am i the only one that went to Laguna Nueva school ? Lol it was a small ass school on Garfield passing Randolph, its been closed down for a long time now , i guess thats considered commerce, but its right on the border line, still Bg if h ask me , and mostly everyone that lived there lived in BG , the school was so small and the crazy thing is, the grades were from Kinder-8th grade , it was elementary and middle school , i got expelled, in 6th grade , i grew up in bg tho, i remember being young cruising all these streets with my friends on bikes all day , i did my first communion in that church on garfield , i had friends that lived all over bg , but my stomping grounds were more by the commerce side , by emil and gage, on hannon , down to chalet and gage , grew up going to jolly boys burgers , i spents a lot of time on gage , even down to greenwood and gage , by the libary tgats literally border Bg, Commerce says it right there welcome to bg , grew up on lanto , and right there on watcher st by nye st and the other side of watcher the dead end ! Good memories. I got incarcerated at 19, havdng been back since , im 27 now , my times around the corner cant wait to get back to the hood ! I might not live there after , but forsure i will go to visit on the regular tho , i have so much family and friends there still

This place is awesome every Friday I would rent dvds and buy popcorn. Sam's burgers had the best food ever I would go there every Saturday. There was this one time where I was at home and there was gun fight war I think I heard 100 gun shots every 4 of July I would buy illegal fireworks from China town.
I live in the town I don’t wanna say where but it’s a gated thing it’s so peaceful there we have a small park and it’s a small community I am in my house writing this kinda weird.
