    So elegant ! I love the way you "feather" the paddle to ease away from the dock.
    I hate to watch some canoesists. They look like they're trying to smack something in the water.
    Beautiful boat. Thanks for sharing.

    NICELY DONE - AND you're one of the few NON-MINNESOTANS that I have EVER seen who actually KNOWS how to SCULL and J-STROKE when paddling a canoe !!!
    What a GORGEOUS boat and INSPIRATIONAL video !!!

      Thank you. There are a lot of good people over here, at least 20 great instructors in Germany who teach how to paddle right. If you like it, take a look at my canoe dancing videos.

    Hans I would like to THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful talent. Your Canoe is a true master piece and a tribute to the Birch Bark Canoe. Again Thank You from Ontario Canada

      I'm glad you like it. Building canoes now for 25 years I'm still trying and learning new things each time I start a new frame

    True craftsmanship, in all its details. Great to see that a canoe can still be built without epoxy. Also very nice that you don't put annoying music in your videos. Just one question: do you count the hours needed for building a canoe this way?

    • @FrameWagnerCanoe
      @FrameWagnerCanoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I don't count the hours but I estimate around 2 weeks for building a canoe, but I mostly work less than 9-5 on the boats

    Normalerweise baut man ja Kanu`s über Mallen u.a. um eine symmetrische Form zu erhalten. Es ist erstaunlich, wie man das halbwegs frei Hand biegen kann. Schöne Kanu`s!

    what are the measures (width, height and depth) of the canoe? how haevy in kg's is the canoe? Very nice done. I hope to reach your skills level. I bought now 3 x 153x153 cm birch-plywood? Is that what you use or single birch? I want to make one up to close of 4mtrs long and 0,9mtrs wide.

      @FrameWagnerCanoe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This one is 4,5 m long, 33 centimeters high, and 72,5 centimeters wide on the widest point. Weight is 21,5 KG. It's made out of three plywood parts.

    Are the plans available for this canoe?

    • @FrameWagnerCanoe

      The form and scale is taken from the "the birchbark canoes and skinboats of north america" by Adney & Chapelle, everything else is learned by experience
