Hey guys - the Mog looks awesome!
-Composite boxes are the way to go. Don’t get tempted by making them too big, especially on the height. Total composite is a great option. Make sure you have a good platform to mount the habitat on. Think triangles not rectangles for the platform.
-Fridges- I have a few Dometics - they work great and are very adaptable since they are self contained. If you are going to build out your box over time, the portability of a Dometic means you can use it while fitting out the new box. You may find they are better than permanent fridges since you can take them out and move them around. I bought a "temporary" Dometic years ago and still use it to this day.
-Heaters, I love Webasto and Eberspacher. Those are the best but the cheap Chinese ones are a very good value and work well if you can tolerate their quirks. I’ve been looking at Ecoflow Wave 2 and it is a tempting unit - definitely a game changer but for heat you can’t beat a diesel fired heater. Also the diesel heaters produce enough BTU that you can circulate a good amount of outside air into the cabin. This will greatly reduce condensation, even in a composite box.
-Power. I’ve found you can do some basic Victron stuff and build onto it as your demands require. I have a few basic Victon components, solar MPPT unit, battery cut off, and DC to DC charger and they work great. Other options to consider are Redarc and Renolgy, however Victron has the most extensive ecosystem and are price competitive. The big jump is batteries and I would invest in some LiFePo batteries, 200 amp hours is a good start. Then you can run the fridge and fans and lights for a long time. If you bump up to 400+ amp hours you can think of Ecoflow, electric cooking, computer etc. Batteries are pricey but again they a a game changer.

Another thought is a Wallas Diesel Stove. Cook and heat.

Nice learning! Important to go through the process. I installed an Espar heater. I sleep in the front cab with the heater and works well on very cold trips. Worth the money! Webasto fine choice.

Thanks for the review - I feel Espar and Websato are interchangeable with regards to quality

Can you give me any info on the fuel tank you can see in your profile pic? Been looking for a solution for two years now.

I am slightly ahead of you (that is I already have the box attached and working on the electrics). One thing I have decided after much research is to settle on 24V as the voltage level throughout the box. Still easy and inexpensive to add a few 12V or USB (5.1V) appliances.
As always thanks for your interesting videos, I always learn something.
