TrailRecon it was surreal seeing you on venture 4wd! I follow both Chris’ and your channels religiously, so this crossover was amazing.
Would love to see you guys do a joint venture. Invite coyote works along too. Chris needs as much camp cooking guidance as he can get!

Okay, I am big fan and very impressed and envious of your quest . I live in northwest and you should travel up to north central idaho. Wonderfull country with tons of hot springs! !! Take highway 93 north to montana and you will be stuned !!! I believe I will have to become pledge for you , keep the faith and adventure !!!
By the way, that Mercedes Sportsmobile at 18.11 looks amazing. All terrain tires, lift kit, winch, ladder, roof rack, snorkel, extra lights beside the side mirrors and upper light bar. Amazing.
Love the fact that you spend a lot of time in and out of Utah. It truly is a beautiful State with so much diversity. You have to admit Utah has beautiful mountain ranges to explore.

Chris, really liked this video of just walking around. Shows the magnitude of this event and gets you excited to want to go to one. Maybe Asheville this team as it is closer than west. This was really great thanks for taking the time, wish I could have been there. Safe travels.

Great to meet you as well! Great video! Fun to relive the great time that we had! Camera work looks great! Sure you noticed the autofocus hunting a little, like we’d talked about. There is some great stuff on TH-cam on how to tweak it! Audio was great too!

I like how someone hit the rumble strip just as Jen was lifting her leg to show her socks. It was a great time hanging out with you Chris, Jen and Monty, Sat. night at Expo. I got to watch Chris eat (pizza) in real life vs. video, it was not any better but it was not grilled cheese and Cheese Its for a change.
My favorite part of Expo was the "apres" time and meeting some of you amazing humans in person! I'm sure he's snacking on both as I type... oh lord, we had what was possibly the WORSE pizza ever before he had to leave for Denver... it was... terrible. Cheers from Monty and I!

Did you at least pick up a couple of gas cans from rotopax while you were there?
Hey Chris, I assume this was shot with the GH5? Since you've been with Canon for a long time, there are a few things I'm sure you're working out.
The face tracking AF on the GH5 isn't as good as Canon, but it gets better if you use the GH5 Autofocus Hack (check out TH-cam) and update to the latest firmware. Another choice is to use Face Detection AF but not continuous AF, so you can half-press the shutter button to focus on your face and then let the focus remain in that position.
I don't know how much post work and colour grading you do with your footage, but if you want a good in camera setting for footage that requires minimal post, try Natural profile with Sharpness, Contrast and Noise Reduction turned down. You'll get a more gentle look with less harsh shadows and highlights.

Hello! It's not actually a waterline coming out of the Jeep, just the Nemo Helio Portable Shower sitting on the front bumper. :) Very handy item to have!

You should get a drone. You are already making good videos. A drone would make it better in some ways.
Does Jennifer have a channel? I could not find it. I see she likes to be the leader. Boss lady! I would like to watch her own videos and read her own story of why she too is traveling solo. Would like to get a walk around about her Jeep setup.
Often some of these moments are on the fly, unscripted and kinda winging-it! :) While I have a "channel" I do not publish videos. I'm working on a documentary project meeting with people impacted by cancer and collecting their stories of how it's impacted their lives for a book I'm writing (www.photosthatunite.com) I'm keen to work with people in rural communities and why I'm traveling solo via overland. Thank you for following!
You should post video may be smaller if time is constraints. It will not only help us get sensitised to the cause but may help us find the ways to contribute to same cause in our neighbourhoods. Thanks
