We can't believe Ody is finally clean! The amount of rust we found left us no choice but to give this old van a complete makeover. From sanding the rust, to the rust treatment, to finally the thick rust paint, there were many stages to getting Ody ready for the build, but I'm so glad we took the time to prime him for the next stage. Now we can sleep soundly knowing that the rust problem isn't going to grow completely out of control.
As for a life update, we have 6 and a half weeks left here in Spain and we have a lot to do. After Lou and I removed the 3 leaky windows today a rain cloud started looming, and then... the sky opened. We quickly covered the windows in plastic and retreated indoors... I then checked the weather, something we should have done before removing the windows, and was shocked to see a 10 day rain storm coming towards us. The next few weeks just got a lot more interesting, so stay tuned!

Oliver Edward Shields Hi there, I asked the same question once. If I remeber well they look for young artists on soundcloud and listen through their music. If they like them, they contact them. As far as I've seen they've used falxcne's music multiple times. It's lovely. I hope you don't mind me answering... 🌱

That is exactly the process ; ) we find small artists on soundcloud, email them personally, usually they say yes, and nowadays sometimes people send us music which has been really fun! Its all very time consuming but very rewarding and we get to make friends with some really cool people! ---Lou
This van build is pretty ambitious! I would have noped out when I had seen as much rust as it has. Good job sticking with it. Also, you guys are one of the reasons we recently went with squarespace! It really was much easier than anything else we tired. This is what we built! www.travelanche.us/

We absolutely love the tent. Great for just parking somewhere and we are ready to go to sleep in minutes. The gas mileage is abysmal though hahaha.

Hi, I can't find any paint product called bondex. Is that the kind of paint you used? Is there something in comparison?
You should fit some big windows in the ceiling for stars and natural light and stuff.. :)

Honest question. Shouldn't you guys be repairing the rust before painting over it? Like scraping the most of it and in some extreme cases try to patch the parts with most rust with new metal?
We treated the rust by cleaning it, sanding it all down, then applying two rust treatment coats, and then the anti rust paint : ) ----Lou

Oh man: you need a plastic paint spray can handle if you do this to your boat. Best $5 a rattle can job ever buys.

The van looks great!! I was just wondering, how do you manage your storage of all your footage? Do you keep all of your movies or delete them after they're used in a final video? These videos are class! Keep up the good work :)
Hi James, we keep EVERYTHING on 10 terabyte g drives, its a bit of a process but it'd be sad to throw all that footage away and we use the old stuff for compilations all the time : ) ---Lou
Such an amount of manual labour you have done. I told myself while watching that you were painting your dream literally. And that's motivation to be able to go through such a hard work. Take care x
