Illias did not dodge Superlek. And that fight was up in the air. Only Thais can be biased towards their own fighter. Illias never ducked superlek and never lost the belt.

Actually, this is the reason why I like Superlek and Tawanchai more.. They have great attacking skills, but can fight both offensively and defensively (counter-attack).. And they usually fight with plans on hand..
While Rodtang's fight is always a feast to watch, but he literally having troubles when fighting great counter-attacker.. Goncalves to be named as one.. He will get stressed and request for a brawl.. Because his only plan is to get in the ring, and brawl until someone drops.. But that is probably why he have bigger fanbase.. Its what everyone wants..
@@k3v_84 agree 👍.. I've come to realize how versatile SuperLek can be. Tailoring his fight to the different styles his opponents bring. Tawanchai is also really talented & lethal, loved them both. Great fighters from 🇹🇭.

You keep mentioning Kickboxing and yet you don't know the basic rules, how the point system is scored and how to score a fight.
You need to re-watch the fight and put it on slow motion because Superlek outclassed Ilias.
First.. Ilia's missed more than 85% his of strikes especially in the 3rd, 4th and 5th round, landed very few solid combinations with few leg kicks and 2 solid knees. That's all he did. Ilia's did not properly defend from Superlek kicks. Ilia's did not parry or stop Superlek from chopping down his arms from kicks for 4 rounds straight.
In One Championship Kickboxing rules, if you're getting kicked in the arm, it's not considered a block and it scores points.
Superlek's whole intention was to chop his arms down to stop Ilia's speed and punching combinations, which Ilia's did nothing to do to stop him from attacking his arm and ran away the whole fight.
Ilia's punching speed was greatly reduced from Superlek kicks and was missing his strikes by an inch or 2 from round 3 to 5. You lose points if your arms are being kicked apart for 4 rounds straight and you do nothing to stop your opponent's momentum.
Superlek controlled the pace of the fight including the cage, landed multiple teeps to the body, landed devastating body/leg kicks and knees and landed precise 1-2 punching combinations. So the clear victory of the fight is Superlek and Ilias was gifted a decision win.

At the time, I thought this was a robbery. But watching it again, it's really a lot closer than I initially thought. Try watching without commentary so you aren't hearing the announcers gassing up Superlek every 20 seconds. It was just a close fight that could have gone either way.
Just simple kickboxing rules not allow elbows, if he can use elbows everything is different
I don't remember the last time I saw someone with that little amount of significant strikes with win a BELT without grappling. Unanimous is crazy.
Superlek is a great counter fighter but what if you counter him and wait for him to open up, he counter every superlek kicks with 3 punch or left inside kick and out strikes superlek, he gave superlek his own medicine
It s not a robbery, I have Superlek 3-2 rounds. I also think there d be a close contest if a rematch s in KB but Ennahachi d stand no chance if it was in Muay Thai rule.

People need to remember that ilias has a massive height and reach advantage for the division. It allows him to play defensive while still scoring. People who say he was running need to realised they are trapped in a cage for 25 mins.

That was not a glancing elbow. And he didn’t “quit” either. That was a well timed elbow that dug into the side of Haggerty’s head. The strongest point of contact against the weakest point. Haggerty is relentless so the fact that he couldn’t get up from that tells you how hard he got hit.
