    Can't wait to make this for supper tonight, it was one of my favorite dishes when I lived in Kerala. I love the texture of the gourd especially also. So tasty! Too bad I cannot find matta rice where I live, best rice I've ever had. Another thing I miss is Kanji and curry for breakfast ❤

      No need to add any additional dal or rice. You can adjust the water while cooking. This curry is perfect consistency as shown the video, once it cooled down it will turn little bit thick gravy. Please try

    According to ayurveda...never hear curds...but I think we can use butter milk. Buttermilk many have forgotten is obtained after taking out the butter from curds.

    • @bhusanur.cooking
      @bhusanur.cooking  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you are correct. Traditionally, we used buttermilk, after removing the healthy fat from it. Nowadays, most people, including myself, use curd in the kitchen. It's convenient to demonstrate how I prepare this curry using fresh curd. I typically use homemade curd made from reduced-fat milk😊

    This is not majjigehuli. This is very similar to olan from kerala but they don't add curd.
    Majjigehuli has other items to be ground with coconut like jeera , green chillies , dhaniya and ginger.
