This seems to be exactly what I’m looking for! I haven’t tried it yet, hopefully it’ll be as easy as you showed it. I want to be able to add video files to the storage device at later times and I know transferring over WiFi can take forever. Can I simply unplug from the router and into my computer to transfer and then reconnect with the router? Would I have to set it all up again each time? Thanks for the great video :)
Thank you for your sharing. I can watch the video by the network, but when I use media server, it didn't shows USB disk information, would you please tell me what happened?
This is what I’m looking for but I want to be able with my family to store and access family pics and videos from this server device setup, will this work with iPhones wirelessly also to do this?
Could you add a multiple USB port device to the router? And if you can, will it come up as one single drive, show all of the media, and/or show up a multiple drives?
Thanks for your vids, many have helped me. Do you know if i could use WD _BLACK P10 Game Drive - 4 TB, or something similar in my router and then move files over from my PC into the drive over wired network? I want to use it as a NAS drive if possible without buying a NAS system.
Good Start.. Im hoping to find something that would show a frontend that would provide information on the files. I'd want something like jellyfin \ plex that could be run from a hard drive Anyone know of anything like that out there?
My USB stick is connected to the router and I can access the files fine from my laptop, but I can't add any files from my laptop. How do I do that please?
What's the point of this? Other than having music stored on a pc, and being able to access that music from other pc's, I can't think of many use cases for this.
The music will be stored on the USB drive that is connected to the router so everyone in your household can access it. You can also put image and videos

You are a god. Thank you, I haven't been able to find anything else that worked. So straight forward and I have the same router which helps immensely.
Thanks 😊
@@KnowledgeSharingTech can this be done with plex instead of Roku?
Most smart TV's should be able to use this shared device without the Roku. Just go to the same "Source" menu selection on your TV.
