Fast paced game. Good start for Leinster on the road.
WELL DONE ON GOOD HIGHLIGHTS!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!
Proper highlights for once hopefully the criticism from previous will work for this season
@@x-latetv-x6816 I pray this is not just a once off. Credit where credit is due, looks much slicker now and really makes the difference.
@@Camcolito seeing all tries feels like a miracle, past highlights always seem to leave out one or two but seen all ten tries was an absolute delight
Glad to see the highlights have improved!
I think Leinster can count themselves a little lucky with that win!
Edinburgh’s kicking game was poor tbh, poor Ali Price was having a bit of a mare by the looks of it.
Pretty standard for Ali Price tbh.
A great match of two great teams and narrow victory for Leinster, Edinburgh were hot on their heels.
If the rest of the URC season is going to be this nip and tuck then it is going to be fantastic😀
As an Edinburgh Fan, I have to disagree
@@Shendersonsports3003of course i guess🤷
@@johncaskie7501 I totally agree John, hopefully there will be more quality games like this one to come.👍
How did JGP just jog through about 5 guys with nobody tackling him?
What a try by Charlie Tector.
Edinburgh were great too
Some beautiful tries in this game, not bad for a start.
Not even close to a first choice Leinster team sheet, so a good win away vs a team filled with Scottish internationals. Prendedgarst has something special, always has time on the ball
And 3 debutants for Edinburgh
Not even two games in and Leinster fans talking about b and c teams 😂😂😂😂😂
@@KewKew-do3kq He's not wrong though is he.
They can brag about B and C teams all they want but we all know at the end of the season they’ll bottle it when it truly matters.
@@Demondoink1They’ll also bottle it mid season in Europe too. All that protecting their precious players from having to set foot on a rugby field and nothing to show for it 😂
What a game to start the sesson. Both teams went for if.
My only criticism, players cleaning from the side or diving of their feet into the rucks. Way to much of that going on.
Awesome to have the most competitive league in rugby back. I can't wait for our South African teams to join the fun.
And check out those highlights, at last!
Good game in real Scottish weather.both teams full of internationals, looking sharp😊
What is Jamison’s Haircut?! 😂
Can't have 1 Leinster player taking 5 Edinburgh players over the line with him. Shameful.
Better highlights from last season
The yellow card not sure looks like a contest for the ball - He did not hit his legs - contact was high where the ball was
Yeah i was wondering about that, it looks like he tried to compete for the ball fairly and just got beaten to it but i guess the fall looked bad so ref makes a choice, ross never touched any part of his body chest down, so seemed like a fair competition but thats my opinion
Yes but the moment that arm was grabbed he was in trouble
Yellow was right in my opinion. He pulled the jumpers shoulder while in the air which made him fall on his back. Clear dangerous play.
It was a fair contest. Both opening the breadbasket and grasping for the ball. Legitimate context with no intentional foul play or reckless action. Outcome based decision
@@wlk2408 fair assessment i guess
Can't see the whole game until tomorrow. I'm guessing that there was a bit of rust from both teams. But it looks like it was probably a reasonably good game. Close result.
good game. If Healy kicked that penalty with 10 to go. Edinburgh would have won. Fine Margins. Is frawley injured or is Cullen still ABF (Anyone but frawley.
I think they left out most people who played in SA, this was almost a second string side all round.
And we are off to another season!!! I really hope the URC continues and the britain & ireland league' idea withers on the vine. Its been a slow but consistant build since 2001. Why would the irish, scottish and welsh teams want to ditch it for boom and bust premiership rugby??
The Welsh want because they are getting thrashed every week.
Leinster were cruising until Ross can't kick can't pass can't run Byrne came on. Combined with Cian Healy and Luke McGrath also being introduced Leinster's performance levels dropped alarmingly. When is Cullen ever going to learn?
Byrne's dad is a big lei ster sponsor
Ross can't kick can't pass can't run Byrne, brother of Harry can't be pick won't be picked won't just leave Byrne!
Agree and lots of other deadwood to clear out too.
Why did Leinster play more or less second string for this game?
Seems to be IRFU mandated. None of the other provinces are playing many/any players who were involved in the summer tour either this week.
@@lewisbarrett5651 Ok, summer tour is a while ago now though. Was just curious about it, thanks.
Huge squad, late returners from summer tour, autumn internationals in 5-6 weeks and central contacts.
@@Camcolitoyou have the autumn internationals so saving players i guess
Lots of first choice playing
Please at least keep this standard for highlights. Like this must be worst case.
So half the Scotland team lose at home to an understrength Leinster side, conceding 5 tries enroute.
Why is that Edinburgh Rugby ?
So a Leinster team that is essentially the Ireland starting 15 managed to lose to lose a semi final against a Bulls side containing only a handful of South African internationals.
Why is that?
Can’t fault the effort by Edinburgh, but it seems like we’re in for another mediocre season.
Far too many moments where attacking play collapsed and Thompson/Healy were left stranded.
Set plays were also a huge problem, especially in the lineouts
Edinburgh are probably in for another rubbish season. I said the same last season but they have a squad that should be competing for the league, not mid table. Imo Glasgows squad isn’t really any better- they are just much better coached and have much more belief that they can win tight games.
They should be beating a Leinster team, at home, that is short of many of their first choice players. But they always seem to settle for the plucky losers tag instead.
Ross Byrne is absolutely useless. How he gets game time is beyond me.
Frawley and Prendergast will get called into the next Ireland squads and Cullen will barely give them a game, mark my words.
But you have to remember that we don't see all the hidden work he does in the dressing room.
Before he takes the field and plays like shit.
Piardi did a great job keeping Edinburgh in the game. Joke of a referee
😂😂😂😂😂 he saved Leinster and here you are trying to set a narrative
Could be the year Leicester shake off the chokers tag
Don't really follow the Premiership.
Easy for Leinster
You won by only 2 points. How exactly was it easy?
@@Maul3286 Definitely wasn't easy, but game wasn't as close as score indicated, consolation try at end.
I was surprised Leinster left so many first teamers at home, good result considering, Edinburgh aren't mugs.
@@Maul328633-19 with 15 mins to go, that could be expected. Issue is leinster just fell asleep and ross byrne yellow didnt help, which opened the gap for consolation try
@@Camcolito If Edinburgh kicked that penalty from the yellow card this game was over. It was as close as the scoreboard showed.
Ref saved them
Good highlights, would have been eben netter if you had included the afters after the Edinburgh try at 2:20 but im not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
