WOW! That apartment is incredible! Ah, the Pantheon...the first place we visited on our Italy trip. That brings back lots of memories. Nice to see the Trevi fountain working. It was under construction and behind scaffolding when we were there. And can I just say how much I love that you're saying hi to all the Garys! We may have been to that same gelateria in Piazza Navona! Fabulous!

A vivid memory of Rome is if the blokes forgot they were our protection and walked a bit ahead, suddenly we'd be surrounded by hopeful young Roman guys who'd immediately turn on the charm. OMG they are so quick and full of flattery. We'd be calling the blokes to come back quite often! We walked everywhere ...the buses are notorious for pickpockets. Oh and I had the best hot chocolate I've ever had, in Rome, in a small shop off the beaten track. It was sublime!
