I don't like Nike, and it's not because I have some sort of random "fuck the man" mentality, it's for a few simple reasons. Nike is a corporate company and its easy to see that they make a shitload of money off of running shoes, football shoes, basketball shoes, etc. so they really don't need any more money. Their skate program is on the side it's not that important to them. Then there's company's like Emerica that are purely skateboard company's. They don't have running shoes or basketball shoes or anything like that, all of their sales come from skateboarding products. When you buy a bike shoe, you're throwing money at a company that already has more money then they know what to do with. The 60 bucks you pay for those janoskis, Nike absolutely doesn't need. But then you buy a pair of shoes from Emerica, that's 60 bucks that company needs because that's their only source of revenue. That's the only reason I don't like Nike, when you buy their shoes your giving money to a company that doesn't need it when you can be buying products from company's that need the money. GoProBoarder Does this apply to people too? Would you apply it to your own life? If you make $8.25 and it's enough to pay rent then there's no reason to strive to better your earnings? Nike is a company and IF YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT the idea is to grow. If anything Nike came out and got competitive really quick. Skate companies are laying down, crying, and giving up instead of actually competing.
I would agree with gopro boarder if we were talking about a worse company like no fear. But deapite people thinking nike are just another corporate company, they do make some pretty good quality stuff and do collaborate with people experienced with the sport rather than making any old walking shoe and calling it a skate one

How about online poker? I tend to do better online. Also the smaller casinos away from seattle and not on reservations tend to have some idiots at the table that you can clean out real easy. I would never play poker in vegas. Id loose my ass.

Its just what's become trendy and therefore Nike can bump up their prices, sometimes up to 100 or something, which is way too steep for a pair of skate shoes. Even Adidas can do better than that. So people don't really have any reason to blame Nike for the fall of skate shops.

It's funny cause if your working a regular job technically you are still a sell out for the fact that your making the government money still by working.
