Thanks for visiting!
I feel so confident and comfortable riding the Spyder... Tommy G and I took an Advanced riding class at Pittsburgh International race complex back in July... And we had so much fun. The spyder handled amazingly well in all the turns on the track... I never was afraid going into any of those turns.
That class sounds fun!
@@PurpleOnThree Nice! I wanted to take my Spyder to a track, but they didn't allow three wheelers.
@@rockymtnbri Hello! Thank you! They weren't going to let me on the track either even though I registered online and met all the requirements...BUT, the owner of Total Control, Mr. Lee Parks, had a certified three wheeler instructor, Betty Lou, come that day for the class and he asked her if she would hang with me and she was kind enough to be my personal instructor!! Anyways, now that they see a 3 wheeler can be part of the advanced riding class on the track, Mr. Parks is hoping to have a Spyder 3 wheel class next year at Pitt or have 6 Spyders in the advanced riding class for the 2 wheelers...We are blessed here in PA to have free riding courses...what state are you located in? For those interested from out of state, the cost for the day is $250...we look forward to going back!! 💜💜🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗🤗
Thanks for the shout out. I agree with your assessments and I love your story about the sharp turn. Just another example of the Spyder’s inherent stability.
You got it Chris. Keep up the good videos 👌
Thanks for this. You, Spyder Minimalist, Coach Bob, Purple on Three and many others, are all excellent advocates for the Can-Am Spyder. I am eagerly looking forward to the day when one graces my garage. Thanks again for your informative, engaging videos and your time taken to put them together.
@cynaptic... I hope the day will come soon when a Spyder will grace your garage! 🙏💜🤗
Our pleasure!
@@PurpleOnThree Thank you so much. 🙂 I totally receive that word!
I’m sure you’ll love a Spyder as much as we do.
Rubber down, Faith Up!! XanBiker
Yes, it is a very stable bike. That said... I believe that you have to know your bikes abilities in all sectors. Be sure before you take long trips. ❤
Well said, thanks for posting
The front wheel lift has been a tiny fear, but now that you've said this, I'm going to try to take a few curves I know I take slowly a little bit faster. Not to lift the wheel, but to experience the VSS taking control. I am going to get the Elka shocks on my 2023 RT Limited next year.
Heard those are a good suspension upgrade. Have fun and ride sade!
@RideBlessed I do play some Sade when I ride! ;) Stay safe and sane as well!
The VSS has the ability to apply the brake(s) independently as well as changing power output to the rear at the same time.
Good video
My 3 wheeler instructor said look where you want to go much like a two wheeler.
Let’s be careful out there.
PS Chris rides a 2023
Good info thanks. And thanks for the "good video." Oh, and thanks for the correction on what Chris rides! Ride safe.
@@RideBlessed so how are you capturing audio in this video?
I have a DJI wireless mic receiver connected to my camera and then a transmitter into a wired headset in my helmet
When you say half helmet do you mean a flip front type or open half face type? I believe others have tried purposely to lift one of the wheels at speed whilst cornering but the VSS kicks in to prevent it. It's a good safety feature and thanks for the video. I enjoy watching Chris the Spyder Minimalist and would recommend his videos to any Spyder fans out there.
When I say half helmet I mean the true half-helmet, no flip. That is compared to a 3/4 helmet, a full-face modular helmet where the front can flip up, or a true full-face helmet
I have the 2020 RTL as well.
Anything in particular you like, don't like, or have changed about it?
@@RideBlessed I put on the Short reach bars, and highway pegs. Put a car tire on the rear those Kendas are horrible and only last if you are lucky 10K miles.
YES I did have to put a new tire on the back already, at less than 10k miles. I want to put the highway pegs on as well.
@@RideBlessed I use mine on every ride. I love to kick back and ride.
Get the sway bare
@@walterpedersen843 Agreed - the BajaRon sway bar and linkages were immediately noticeable changes for my Spyder. I've taken mine up to 94 mph on the 130 toll road here (85 mph speed limit) for about 10 seconds with no shudder or loss of control. I've also got the wheel balancers installed.
Get the new BajaRon ultra 3 piece Swaybar
Will you be going to Colors this year?
Going to try for sure. My wife may not have enough PTO time to go, so trying to figure that out. I need to get a place booked to stay too!
It’s nice hearing from you. That’s a good good conversation. I am a fellow CMA person in Colorado load hear from you and I love to see that vest on you. God bless you.
Have Baja ron sway bar tuned elka suspension In Spyder fever participated spyder games closed course cones. Hammer throttle it will lift every time. Intersections street simple don't hammer it. Fine tryke.
Sounds like a nice setup!
