Nice set. Set the scale and you can't go wrong. It's great to see stuff played live on the fly instead of something where it's all pre programming and pattern change knob twiddling
Roger [kirby] Waters : Well, we already have a Beatstep Pro and a Big Sky, and both are highly recommended. Just keep in mind that the BSP is a monophonic sequencer (so no chords) and it cannot sequence MIDI CC. I recently bought a Digitakt because it does support those two things, and it’s a great sampler. The Poly D sounds very nice indeed! In terms of poly-synths, my current wishlist contains the Prophet Rev2 and Hydrasynth. :)
Tom Lyle, I think we used a little bit of the pitch LFO on its lowest rate, that gives a lot of atmosphere to chords. Also, try to keep the filter cutoff relatively low and add some resonance (“peak”) for a warmer sound. But of course a big element here is the reverb effect, that really makes the sound so huge.
Markotik G : We really like the 2-Pole. The filter and drive sound great, and you can do some interesting things with the LFO and envelope, especially when feeding it CV. Check this video (and description) for a fun example: th-cam.com/video/nrLc-suDok8/w-d-xo.html I only wish there was a stereo version of this unit! And it would have been cool to have other LFO shapes, but I’ve never really missed it. :)
Good question. I think I wouldn't have bought the Specular. I still love its sound, but the Big Sky can do so much more, and the Clouds mode is just bliss. :)
track is nice, but the keystrokes are not consistent, if you don't look at the video and only listen to the audio you can feel it. good vibes though, no offence :P just productive criticism :)
Love your videos- I spend hours sometimes, jotting down notes and diagrams of how you have things set-up.
Brilliant mate, thanks.
Markotik G : Thank you so much!! It’s great to hear we can inspire people like that! :)
Volcawave
Clever use of the Volca Sample. With a good sequencer, the Volcas are impressive. Keep pumping out tracks. :D
Thanks & will do! :)

Very atmospheric, super inspirational! THX Bro!

Fuck**g awesome!!!!
Congratulations from Guatemala City 👌
gilberto corleto : Thanks, Gilberto!!! :)
Heel vet! Heb jullie net ontdekt via synthforum.nl, heel cool! En jullie ook nog een Synthwave! Uit welke Volca komt die heerlijke drone pad?
Tof! Die pad uit het begin? Dat is de Volca Keys + Specular Reverb. Die Specular maakt het zo dik hoor. :)
Man, i is a cooool, respect from Russia !!!
That was great!
John Borchardt : Thanks, John!! :)
part of it sounds like Halo OST "A Walk in the Woods" 💙
The Inferno : Yeah I can see how it reminds you of that. :)
Neat! I got a minilogue and subphattty. On my wish list is the beatstep pro, big sky, and behringer poly d. What do u recommend, fellow synth wizards?

love to know your settings on that volca keys best I've heard it and I have one

thanks I'll play around when I can might just get it
Love it. Though I gotta say the two-finger Volka Keys solo is not sexy to watch. lol
Gene Pozniak : Hahaha yeah I know what you mean!! ;)
👍👍
How is the Waldorf 2 pole? I have the rocket and the strings but never even checked 2-Pole out...
Markotik G : We really like the 2-Pole. The filter and drive sound great, and you can do some interesting things with the LFO and envelope, especially when feeding it CV. XLNT...👍🏻
I need jam to friend with
Question, if you had started again, would you buy the bigsky from the beginning or would you still buy the gsi reverb?
Good question. I think I wouldn't have bought the Specular. I still love its sound, but the Big Sky can do so much more, and the Clouds mode is just bliss. :)
Volca kick sure sounded nicer with mixer. Or maybe he used electro. But Roland drum or real live drum probably better if u r a drummer n got space?
hi, in a setup like this, what's the master clock?
I was thinking it could just be careful settings but the Beatstep is my thought
goodsh it
Bpm?

Iustin Alexandru : Thanks for the feedback. This recording is 20 minutes long, is there a specific part you’re talking about?
