Love this! The chord progression sequence is one of the best things I've heard - absolutely beautiful! This just shows that creativity is more important than lots of expensive gear! ❤
Holy shit, the volca beats really nails that 70s drum machine/ CR-78 sound in this demo! Sound fantastic and with that delay it's simply beautiful, I think you've persuaded me to buy one. Great sounds and chord progressions.
it definitely has that old-school beatbox sound. I wish they made a volca cr-78 (my favorite drum machine). Thank you for the kind words. It certainly takes some practice to get it sounding smooth like this, but with delay it helps alot.
awesome example of how sometimes less is more. no fancy video editing or lights, just a simple composition with cheap machines, yet you manage to create a wonderful piece. great work! 👌
Not gonna lie, this might be the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in a while. Completely zoned out to this. Thank you for the craft and all the inspiration in it!
My two favorite bands of all time btw so it is a huge compliment from me for what it's worth. I'm also enjoying the volca keys and drum. So much fun to play! 👍
Sometimes the youtube algoritm comes with some real gold quality suggestions, this is one! :D All things made of glass in this room is vibrating alot even at medium volume, powerful tunes :]
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. It's actually available on Spotify too if you use that. Link is in the description. Definitely plan to do more with this combo. I love the simplicity of it. Have a great one!
@@FortressofSound I love this combo as well! But you really make it work. Iv been listening to you on Spotify for a moment. Still think you could make an entire album on this + the nightmare jam & expand on those ideas! Thanks for making great music!
Really great performance! I recently bought a Keys and an FM. Love 'em both because of form-factor and sounds. Lacking a bit on the functionality-side maybe, but the way I see it it's breeding creativity! The cool thing about the FM is that you can import DX7-libraries to it!
Thanks! Yep, you can turn on flux mode and use it at slower tempos to get a pseudo 128 step. With the beats you can use the synced delay to create a beat that is running at really slow BPMs but sounds much faster.
"I can see it coming in the air tonight..." Phil Collins. That's what I first hear.
Somebody actually making music with these unique tools finally
you missed a lot xD
They are more powerful than they get credit for! They are just musical sounding synths. Thanks!
This straight up reminds me of Boards of Canada... GREAT TUNES! THANK YOU.
BOC are great, thank you!
I keep coming back every now and then and enjoying this ambient tune more and more.
Thanks so much!
the pedal gives it a cool lo-fi cassette sound
Definitely does in the tape delay mode. It's so cheap, I'd recommend to anyone.
Makes me think of Ghost in the Shell
Love this! The chord progression sequence is one of the best things I've heard - absolutely beautiful! This just shows that creativity is more important than lots of expensive gear! ❤
probably one of the best uses of the volca kick and keys I have ever seen. well done

Not kick, it's volca beats an analog drum machine!

Well I definitely need both of them. Recently got the Modular and Sample. Be fun to play guitar or piano over something like this on my days off.
Sounds beautiful, like something you would hear as ambience during nighttime among the streets of Halo ODST
Thanks! Great soundtrack on the Halo games.

Very nice Sound Teppich
Thank you!@
sounds like film Music, very good
Godly
Thanks for that !
I love how you recorded a longer sequence in the Keys. I saw where you can make a 128 step sequence on it if you want. Great ambient piece.
