Padraig you sir are the man! That was the best explanation of how and why releasing the club matters I've ever heard and it immediately made my driving better. I can't thank you enough!
Most excellent....weve been taught for years to hold the club like holding a little bird without letting it go or crushing it...what your saying is just the opposite ...interesting...
I pull up for a round of golf. Can I step out and do some kind of modified level to get speed up pregame? I noticed right after my first day of training, first time through level 1 and logged 105-106 beforehand. Finished level 1 for that day, grabbed my driver and instantly hit 111. I’m as surprised as anyone to have 5-6mph gain cuz it didn’t feel like anything happened. Well, other than short of breath and sweaty. I didn’t think same day, day of for first time
Thanks for the comment! Congrats on the gains, that is awesome! We have two recommended warm up before a round of golf. They can be found here, train.superspeedgolf.com/warm-up/
Swing a weighted club is what we were told back in the day Dermot. Nowadays it’s all about “over speed” training with a lighter load. It gets the muscles used to working faster than they normally would.
Hi Dermot, something heavy can make your driver feel lighter. But a missing piece is actually swinging faster. That’s why the lighter clubs are critical. If you never train swinging faster then you’re used to it can limiting your potential gains.

They are great swing aids but i got more results from filling the head of an old 3 resuce with sand and sealing with solder.

Been working on this for a couple of months and have increased my swing speed by 8mph but unfortunately my index has gone up from 3.3 to 4.7
