Thays awesome.. Bery creative. I'm in process of making a partial. I had 2 baby canines and they finally fell out. My big canines are up behind my 2 front teeth well one just came through and is making my front teeth to slant. I am saving money to get it taken care of but until then I don't want to keep walking around missing teeth in the front. I found a denture kit ebay and the etching, bonding and resin dental kits on there as well so I want to try to make one kf these and add build 2 teeth in the retainer so it looks way better and make a partial and see which looks better. Thank you for this. Dental is so expensive. Over 4 grand to get my mouth fixed and that ain't even getting my wisdom teeth out as well as fixing my over bit. My whole mouth is shifting without my canines . It's crazy. Thank you for sharing.
This is genius! However, I was wondering where you got the plastic sheet! I cannot seem to find them anywhere near me. Thank you in advance! You're a life saver!
@@danicatyj Thank you so much!! I just decided to order some online haha! I'm so excited! Thank you again, this is so much cheaper than having one made from the orthodontist.
Try using instamorph it's a thermoplastic that's melts over 60 degrees so u can suck it into hot water it becomes moldable and when it cools down it becomes a solid ...if u have a mild disallignement then u can modify before it becomes rigide :)
Awesome. Now on to ebay to order a kit to make my own tooth for the missing canines I have and I'll just use the retainer until I can afford to get my mouth fixed
After the vacumm sucked the plastic to its shape, let it rest for awhile. When the plastic is cooled, you will be able to remove it from the mould easily without breaking it.
Can we get an update? Any noticeable or slight shifting? I'm really tempted to try this but I think it'll be weird to ask my dentist for my teeth mold lol

Hi I got a few questions 1. How thick does the wood plate have to be? 2. How big must the hole be? 3. Will it work with 0.75 mm polypropylene(even though is thicker) 4. Can we heat the plastic in the microwave too?
Hi! 1. Try to find a thinner wood compared to mine, I don't have a measurement for it. As long as it is not more than half the height of your mold so that you have more space to press it down. 2. Must not be bigger than your vacumm hole so that no air is coming out 3. I recommend getting a thinner plastic that is safe to place in your mouth and easier to melt 4. I don't recommend using a microwave because you need to work very quickly after melting the plastic and I don't think microwave is warm enough to melt it
@@danicatyj hello, thank you for the reply. Another question: how to know, based on the plastic aspect (texture etc) when to stop heating the plastic and press it above the mold
Hello, thank you so much for this brilliant content. I have a question how do you get your teeth mold? Did you do it yourself with a DIY method or did you have to go to the orthodontist to get it?
@@therealjuliangirl sorry, I just realized I said ArtFriend is a hardware store. ArtFriend is actually a Art/DIY store, I believe you will be able to find all the materials from any Art/DIY store. My teeth are perfectly straight up until today! and I am still using the retainer showed in the video.
I'm using 0.03 inch polyester sheet in this video. Clear retainers are usually made of Essix plastic so you can try that too. Both of the plastics that I mention are safe to put into your mouth, so I suggest to not use other plastics.
can i use my retainers as a mold instead of my actual teeth? my retainers split but isn’t totally apart. i just don’t like how my teeth is now and i’m trying to get it back to being straight. i could probably fill it with clay, let it harden to keep the retainer together then just use that as a mold
