My Dark Vanessa is one of my personal all time favorites. It is so deep, emotional and raw in its form. I adored it. It’s it an easy read but it also shouldn’t be.

I love the sookie stackhouse series (which i believe is also referred to as the southern vampire mysteries)😅 it's such a comfort read for me. I just think they are fun. I liked the show too but I consider it a comedy...that might be just me though 🤔
also I JUST got "I'm glad my mom died" from the library yesterday!! I don't really know anything about her but I saw people say it's good 🤷🏻♀️
You should try Libby (overdrive) for audiobooks and digital books, most libraries have that option and I've been using it so much.

I was so into True Blood tv show back then. It was so so good! And I've started reading books on December just for the nostalgia of the show, and they are terrible.. The show is so much better. Just because I know the show so good, I can somewhat enjoy the books and have my fun with it. But they just don't feel right, and are quite boring 😊

I remember listening to Johanna Parker narrating Harris' Dead Until Dark and liking it but that has been years ago. Maybe I will try a reread and see how it has withstood the test of time. Glad you are back.

SCRIBD: it's a hidden number for each category of book. so you can listen to SO many romance, or SO many historical fiction... but then you still have a bunch of YA Fantasy you can still listen to... so if you ONLY listen to ONE genre... it'll drive you insane, lol
When you spilled the detergent I felt so bad. It was like how I felt when Kevin spilled his chili on The Office. Except this is worse because I know that someone was paid to clean up the chili, you have to clean up the detergent for free. 😔
OMG True Blood! I've never read the books but the tv show was so enjoyable for the most part (the last season is a doozy though).

I've heard some reviews of My Dark Vanessa that said it was cathartic for if you've gone through it but yeah, we'll see. I read Speak and it tore me apart so I'll probably pass on My Dark Vanessa. I'm so torn though. Know My Name was hard to read but so deeply important to me and helped me realize a lot of things I'm grateful for.
It's so funny to see the Charlaine Harris books! I was obsessed with the Anita Blake vampire hunter novels and when I ran out of those books I read the Sookie Stackhouse series. None of is stuck with me I can remember scarcely little of it. But I think it was because both those series used to be uploaded for free as audiobooks back in the day before copyright supervision was much of a thing on this site.
Jennette McCurdy's memoir was so good! Chilling, insightful, incredibly well-written. I'd love to read more from her she's an amazing storyteller.
