I gotta admit, that was elaborate. I thought the file would just open a troll face or something. But you put a whole intro in and even made it into a playable game

Side note though, while I love Pizza Tower and the fun references to it you have added I think the emotes and the Tv screen should be activated by a power-up or just have it as a toggle-able setting, just so people can keep Mario authentic if they want. I actually really liked the sprites for the third snake block speed. I know that was likely a part of the April Fool’s festivities, but keeping that speed in as an Easter egg might be a fun idea! In any case, I’m kinda sad that I missed this video when it originally came out - seems like a lot of effort was put into it, and well done to everyone who helped design the sprites to make it happen (and you for coding them in)!
The Alpha/Beta of the game is so good. It's already rivaling the first Mario Maker in terms of quality! If development keeps going this smoothly, then the second game might be obsolete in comparison! Great Job Guys!
You know whats really sad? I downloaded the "pre alpha build" and was like "Oh they must've changed the assets to prevent copyright takedowns!" It took me until the rickroll to understand
Better idea than adding a ton of snake block variations, just allow for custom speed (measured in blocks/second) with the slowest being 0.1 or something

To be honest with the emotes and tv reaction it doesn't feel like Mario anymore. In mm2 they have a chat which should be expanded upon instead of the emotes. Also every other feature is awesome
For a real addition you should add the only two enemies that are exclusively in the LEGO Super Mario line. The First was a new variant of a bullet bill named the "Boomer Bill", these enemies are bigger than bullet bills but smaller than banzai bills. They feature the same face design as a banzai bill. The second is the "Captain Goomba", this goomba is thematically set for the airship with a pirate captain hat, this goomba also needs to be jumped on twice before being defeated.
Tiny suggestion for the snake blocks, I just made a set of levels using them in MM2 and I really wish there was a way to mirror the direction it starts. so instead of it being locked to start to the right please make an option to flip it in Super Smashy maker. Keep up the amazing work that Nintendo doesn't seem to want to do.

I noticed in one of your previous videos that you used a bunch of boolians to represent the contents of an item box. Just a thought, you don't have to do it this way, but it would probably be more efficient to represent each type of contents as a number. Then, represent the contents with a single integer that you can set to each contents's number to represent what it holds. Then use a Switch() to perform all related functions.
suggestion, allow snake block path crossing, and an "advanced editor mode" that has an editor more like mario editor and also allows use of 'command blocks' which you place above normal blocks to give command that change the block or enemy behavior. for example you can place a command block on a a pair of doors or red note blocks and type a command like "warp:room1:codenametoseperatedoors" to change where they warp you to. this would be good for places like haunted house levels where doors may lead you back to where you started, or you could place it on the text block and type "text:this is a message", or you can place one on bowser and type in a command like "action:2" to make him fight differently, like how the way he does in smb1 1-4 and smb1 8-4 are different as bowser starts throwing hammers.
The downloadable version of this game is very cool and amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone who's a big fan of Mario Maker 2! There's also a secret if you reach the flag pole for the first time
I really like your idea for adding Taunts and TV features from Pizza Tower. You should add other playable characters such as Luigi, Toadette, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Wario and Waluigi and give also give them taunts.
Something I imagine wouldn't be too difficult to add but have wanted in the actual Mario Maker for years would be some kind of toll or shop block. As in, something like a Question Mark block that only spits out its contents if you pay a certain number of coins (and yeah I know that this wasn't in any actual Mario games but it's not the most farfetched idea). This could be put to good use in all sorts of levels, depending on how and where the coins are supplied to the player. There could possibly be settings on whether or not the item is shown before paying, or for how much stock there is, for some variety.
For the slowest skane block, you could add a purple* color and a *sad face* like: "I don't have energy enough to go faster.😞". It would be kinda funny😅 But it would also be interesting for storytelling levels and/or musical levels!😉
