    Very nice review, I do prefer the Sennelier, Hwawon, then the Mungyo Gallery! I don’t like the Paul Ruben at all, but HAIYA better! I am using a lot Neocolor II to began my drawing. I am using very few Pentel artist and not at all the Van Gogh! It is a matter of support you are chosen and the technique you are using too! Like a oil painting the Sennelier is the best, as impressionist style the Mungyo Gallery and Hwawon are the best, for very big format such as A3 and more, a combination of all them is useful. It is a matter of style and what you want to achieve, I guess. These are all good oil pastel, except Neocolor II which is a watercolour wax crayons, very useful with markers together, then adding oil pastel which it could be a way of doing artworks too! Thankfully for your valuable time for this video. From Quebec in Canada, 😊❤

    Neo 2 I would never think to use like an oil pastels-they shine as a water soluble medium. I love Mungyo for my needs.

    Nice comparison. I don't consider NeoII oil pastels as that company makes actual oil pastels (as labeled). I heard Unison is the best [top of the line] but not many can afford them to try ... they are ridiculously expensive in the US.
    I really appreciate your review. Thank you.

      You are absolutely right! I usually use only unison soft pastels, they are pricier. But I'm sure it's worth it! 😉

    Appreciate the review of so many brands! I'm a little disappointed with neopastels. Maybe I prefer softer OP. Wish I could get my hands on Hwawon OP. They look good!

    What type of fixative or varnish do you use? It's a question, thank you for your video and your answer.

      I usually use a spray type varnish for oil pastels. Thank you for watching my video✨

    I had never heard about Hwawon before, I'm going to search for informations. As a non-professional et totally self-taught artist I love the Mungyo Gallery...

    Why do you classify Neocolor II as an oil pastels? They are WATER-SOLUBLE WAX pastel, leaning even more close to a crayon than to a pastel....

    • @ΔεαΚ
      @ΔεαΚ 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It litterally says its for watercolor -_- in case you didnt know, aquarelle means watercolor in French 🙄

      The 84 Neocolor II Aquarelle is literally a water-soluble wax pastel.
      I assumed that most of you are already familiar with this fact, so I included it as a special case in the classification without further explanation. This product is characterized by its smooth texture even when used without water, and it also delivers excellent color expression. For this reason, it is often used as a regular crayon. I also prefer to use this product as a crayon. 😉 I’m sorry for the late reply.

    In fact, they are all very different. and it is desirable to have everything for various techniques. Personally, I don’t really use very soft ones. I prefer the hardness level of Van Gogh - Mungyo, sometimes I don’t want to smudge, but I want to paint. !☝️
