The emotion from Son Heung Min will always get me. South Korea knew that the only way they were going through were if they won by two goals. Obviously the Sweden Mexico game made it meaningless for South Korea, but the players didn't know the result of the other match at the time. Not to mention how they ignore the role Kroos plays by assisting the Korean player to score with his backpass toe poke. Kroos also assisted the goal Sweden scored in the 1st game with another one of his backpasses, but people forgot about it because of his last minute free kick goal that won Germany the game.

Back then, Heung-Min Son, Sonny was young but he became an unstoppable one even though turned over 30 recently in the EPL. In the upcoming Asian Cup, he might be the captain of the winning team, the South Korean national football team. Because his team has Son himself, Min-Jae, Hee-Chan, and Kang-In since they are all excellent players in the Euro football world.
Their head coaches in club teams didn't want to allow their dispatch to maintain their team capacity but the head coach Jurgen Klinsmann in the South Korean team refused it. Because he said "Someone must become a winner in the sports event" to the football clubs' request that they need Korean players in their league matches. The Asian Cup would become more interesting football matches even in Euro football fans' eyes.

2018 World Cup: Finished last in the group stage.
2018-19 Nations League: Lost 0-3 to the Netherlands.
Euro 2020: Lost 0-2 to England in Round of 16 (they had even barely escaped the Group of Death after Hungary almost knocked Germany out of the tournament).
2020-21 Nations League: Lost 0-6 to Spain.
2022-23 Nations League: Lost 0-1 to Hungary and only finished 3rd behind them and Italy.
2022 World Cup: Finished 3rd behind Japan and Spain in the group stage (they would have finished last if Costa Rica were 2-1 up until the full-time whistle, which also qualified as a runners up the expense of Spain, despite losing 0-7).
    Also, in 2023:
Euro U-21: Finished dead last in group stage behind eventual winners England (despite the fact Germany were the defending champions of this tournament).
Women's World Cup: Finished 3rd behind Colombia and Morocco after yet another shock results against none other than... South Korea! Morocco had just got slapped 0-6 at the hands of Germany.
The men's senior team only won 3 of the 11 friendly games, losing 6 (including a 1-4 loss to Japan).
At least, the Euro and World Cup triumphs for the U-17 only saved the German Football for the crisis.

월드 챔피언을 상대로 승리하기 쉽지 않음. 대한민국이 기적적인 승리 이후로 한 단계 더 발전했다고 생각함.

It didnt touch Shule, it was Kroos who actually made pass through legs of Shule to Korean’s attacker. Thats why it wasn’t offside

I was at the stadium in Kazan on that day. It was an incredible experience watching Korean team. I still have a flag of Korea at home which was given to me by one of fans. Unfortunately, it seems like ages have passed since that days in Russia...

This was literally the beginning of the end of Die Mannschaft’s prime. Sure they will come back strong, but it will take much longer than we think.

With regards to the first goal and the miss offside call, it's not even the fact that it touches the #15 defender Sule but it was the #8 Kroose who actually flicked the ball back through the legs of his own defender towards the #19 Kim. You have to slow the video down to notice.

I remember those days. I didn't watch this game. And I was happy to hear that.

It wasn’t a Korean pass. It was a German back pass. Can never be offsides.

They blamed 2022 on a two seconds "hand on their mouth" gesture

@@JustKrin that was just people rubbing salt on their wound, nobody really thinks thats the case unlike in 2018 when a whole nation was blaming a single player for their utter humiliation
