I love the idea of using the sharpened pieces and turning them into paint. I don't know why I never would have thought of that. Thank you for the excellent tip. Love all of your videos and beautiful work!!
@@AncaPoraIllustration I have to say, I really prefer to shave the pencils and add colour to the shavings , the way you did, I seem to have better control of it. Thanks for your reply :)
Love this I've been contemplating on whether to purchase these and now after this amazing review I think I might. Thankyou for your videos they really make my day ❤️❤️
My main use for watercolor pencils is probably when I want my sketch to pretty much disappear and leave me with a lineless look. The lighter ones in this set are particularly good for that - the lightest blue disappears pretty much completely, but it's so light that it doesn't affect the colors of the paints at all (especially since there's so little on the paper). I like the look you got when you used the pencil shavings as paint - the opacity reminded me a bit of gouache, I'll have to experiment with that...
Yes that's a great idea to use them as well ! I will try to do that for my future drawings to see how that works :D Thank you so much for your lovely comment :D
I was surprised to see purple tulips for some reason! I find watercolour pencils softer than any other pencils, but also same with watercolour markers it is inconvenient for me to do extra step to extract pigments from the solid form, with usual watercolour palet it so much faster!
I just started out my art journey and I'm creating a list of what art supplies I need. These kind of reviews are really helpful ❤ Actually all your videos are beautiful. Keep up the good work 😍
I have a love/hate relationship with watercolour pencils lol great for using to lay down background colours, but sometimes difficult to get even layers with
I feel the same way . I feel like they work really beautifully sometimes and sometimes i feel like i have to take extra steps when i can just use regular watercolors. However i think the concept is pretty cool
I loved seeing you work with a new medium that was a little out of your comfort zone. And of course the piece you created is gorgeous as usual💗 I quite enjoy both watercolour pencils and markers and use the Ecoline watercolour markers quite a bit. I'd love to buy this Arteza pencil set to have a play with but I don't they sell them in Australia 😓
Thank you! I need to use them more to get used to them but I think they are great for adding texture. Oh so sorry. I didn't know they don't ship to Australia

I thought so too! It's very creative to use shavings!
This works only with woddless pencils i guess :D But yes i think i will get more use out of them this way :D
I always cringe at my messy watercolor pans. Having a fresh palette each time with just the amount I need is great.
Thank you for this tutorial, good idea to put the shavings in a pallet to add water to, just got my set today, excited to to try them.
Thank you! I am glad it helped. Are you enjoying the pencils ? :D

I'm so glad I clicked. I just bought these watercolor pencils. I wouldn't have thought to use them after they have been sharpened from the pencil. 🙂
Thank you! It's a pretty neat way of using them. I find they are quite versatile :D

Awesome :D That makes me so happy. Let me know if you do purchase them and how you like them

I like what you did with these! I haven't done watercolour pencils since I was a kid.
Thank you Ella! :D

Yes this illustration was a bit different from my usual style :D. I have never tried watercolor markers . What brand do you use?
@@AncaPoraIllustration I have winsor&newton and I ended up using them for calligraphy :)
