oh man, i tried to get those containers but they were more expensive then what you had said. ahhhh! :)
The Wal-Mart app is of no use and so is brickseek because things are not up to date. I have wasted gas and time searching for those airtight better home containers and even though both Wal-Mart app and brickseek said it was in stock. They where actually out of stock. I even drove 1 hour 1/2 away and couldn't find them, but the only way that I knew that it was out of stock was, going to the app and searching in the pick up and deliveru, instead of Wal-Mart.com and there it told me that in my area no one had it. If I would of knew that in the first place, I would of saved a lot of headaches.

Not all this is true . I got a vacuum in one Walmart and at the other one was more money . And they Willis not do the return for the same price I paid I had to pay extra 20 for it to exchange it for the same vacuum. So please I don’t believe it
As a head cashier at a different company and a former Walmart employee, I’m goin to ask that everyone who does the online price matching PLEASE BE KIND TO YOUR CASHIERS. A lot of them are kids who have never had a job before and may not know about the price matching policy. They may be confused when you bring it up. Please be patient and polite.
Of course, you should always be patient and polite to your cashiers, but I know common decency is a hard concept for some people to grasp.

True! Also another reason is about the policy part. I had a hard time once and I rather don’t do this unless is just one item. That time made me not want to do it again. So I just check online, and if I really want it and I just order online!

I was a cashier my self at a big retail store but have seen cashiers( at least in the area where i live ) that are very rude even tho u super nice

I work at Walmart. The best time to shop clearance is not only in transition with seasons but before the season starts. For example I just marked down a lot of outdoor items for clearance to make room for new outdoor items. Even if it’s the same exact item. Items also get marked down if there are too much inventory or if they aren’t selling. I’m so lucky to get first dibs on goodies lol
Probably one of the best things about being a Walmart associate is getting to scan the clearance sections on my lunch breaks!

How long between clearance prices? Ex 50% today then how long till it goes down again?
My daughter found some mermaid bedding on an end cap that said $25 on the display and we got up to the register and they said it was $35 and the cashier didn’t really care about the end caps at 25 so I told my daughter we had to put it back because sometimes I was explaining to her you have to know when you can buy some thing and then when you just have to walk away from it because it’s not at the price you expected. However when we got home I told her that we could email the store and let them know what had happened and see what they said. We heard back from the manager the next day and he was very amused by my daughters email and he actually gave her the bedding for free.
But if you find it cheaper they have to honor it and I would have asked for a manager, but in this case she did good-got it for free! Can't beat that!
I know I could have asked for the manager then but I had 6 kids with me and they were acting a little crazier then usual at moment so I decided to just worry about it. I was glad that it worked out for her in the end.
Good for you! Sometimes the Cashiers just don't do their job, or act as if it's going out of their way to check on the pricing...so glad the Manager was Amused enough to give it to your daughter for free💜😁
Good for you, you had a good experience with a good manager. Sometimes the managers are not very nice, glad your daughter had a positive experience, she learned a lot more than you think I’m sure.
I also thank the managers when I have an exceptionally good experience in a store. Managers hear so much negative feedback it really makes their day when someone gives them and the employees a pay on the back.
And sometimes people put things back in the wrong place .

The reason items are different prices in different stores is because store managers have a budget for clearance items and decide which department needs it the most depending on which items they need to clear out the most (which varies by store).
Each department has already clearance budget. It's up to the person who runs that department to spend where and also expires dates are on by bar code. That's another way of keeping track of item's.

Saying “you are enough” at the end of your video reminded me of my secretary in elementary school who used to end every single days announcements with “and remember, I love you” for the kids who didn’t hear it enough at home 😭😭😭😭

Been doing this for the past two years. I’ve bought clothes for $1 at Walmart that is clearanced at $9, $7 and I scan and it’s $1. Have saved so much doing so
@Tomato nope. When you go scan the item it’ll be the price you scanned it in your phone. For example the tag will say “$9” I’ll scan the Walmart app and it shows for “$1” I go to the cashier and it’ll scan for $1. So whatever your phone scans it for will usually be what is going to be scanned at the cashier. And let’s say it doesn’t. Show the cashier the price on the phone and they should price match you with no problem

There are so many!! I guess my biggest tip is you can stack clearance items with target circle offers i.e. “buy two items get a $5 gift card”, target circle coupons, and manufacture coupons (unless otherwise stated)! There are so many more I wish I could share. If Kathryn messages me I’d be happy to draw her up a huge document of all of them so she can share with everyone!
Just to clarify, you don't need to talk to a cashier/sales clerk to do this, but at the register you do need to notify them of the price difference so they can make the adjustment for you. Thanks so much Kathryn! This really works!
It’s at management discretion and the three Walmarts within driving radius of my home have all declined.
Most Walmart now will NOT do the price match online they now tell you no. But here is a trick to it order it online than do ship to store.

I am a Walmart cashier to able to get the cheaper price from online the product HAS to be SOLD AND SHIPPED BY WALMART. It also HAS TO BE INSTOCK. You HAVE to be able to put it in your online shopping cart. If your NOT able to put it in your online shopping cart YOU CAN NOT GET IT FOR THE ONLINE PRICE. I hope this helps.

What sucks is Walmart doesn't honor prices for the workers . But I love clearance shopping. This is how I stay a season ahead with the kids clothes. I always get a size bigger for the next season. I save so much money doing this.

Recently, I decided I REALLY needed some new STRONG corn cob skewers... They were priced about $3.95 at Walmart. All I could really afford was one pack but that was fine. When I checked out, they rang up at 75 cents. Well, I just took my cart full of sacks right back around and got four more packs of them ! What a deal. What a great economical surprise !

Always look by the purses and backpacks they never get a chance to mark those down, I just scored 16.98$ for 1$ and purses that where supposed to be 20$ for 1$ I bought enough for my family for the holidays.
I scan everything that remotely catches my eye 👁in Walmart, never been disappointed 😉👍🏽.
In 2015 I had 2 grandsons that were newborns and a few friends that had babies at the ages of 2 and 3 months. I found a rack of newborn Jean jackets for 25 cents each. I grabbed 20 of them and took them back to Alaska and sild them for $5.00 ea, and kept 4 of them for friends and family. I Love Walmart!

Walmart Employee here: be careful because Walmart no longer offers price match guarantee. We no longer do price match to other stores nor do we do them for our online apps. Some Walmart’s still price match but technically we aren’t so post too.
Thank you! I noticed a Mr Coffee coffee pot was just under $25 ($24.94) at the store, but had already seen it online as an available pickup item at the same store for $19.99. It irritates me that the same company can sell the exact same thing for 2 completely different prices. How is that legal? 😑 It’s so shady, and makes me question Walmart’s ethics. 😞

It’s not only the hidden price changes, there’s also practices like giving workers one hour less than they need to be full time, refusing to fire employees but rather just assigning them 0 hours to work so they can’t file for unemployment, etc.

🌷Some good news 💐 for a pick up after that: I used to work at a Dollar Tree and the relationship between the employees and the management (both at the store where I worked and another where I now shop) is wonderful! It’s one of the few retail chains where you can still feel like you have a “work family” 😊
@@hallidayoawoaw As a walmart associate, I can tell you that we are offered more hours if we need it quite regularly, many of my co-workers regularly get overtime. And often not being scheduled is either because the worker's availability is very closed or they are not very good workers and regularly don't show up for their shifts (why should you be scheduled if you are not going to show up anyway?). There are certain times of the year that hours are cut quite a bit, but other times of the year MORE than make up for it (we all know that after the holidays hours are cut back, wise associates will take advantage of all of the extra holiday overtime and financially prepare for the post-holiday slump). I also know people who purposefully keep their hours low because they like having government freebies and don't want to risk losing those. While it isn't the perfect job (is there such a thing?), and it can be stressful, Walmart has been very good to me. I have worked there for about a year and a half and in that time I went from part time to full time, have received multiple hourly raises totaling $4, multiple bonuses, plus other benefits.
