I got a 50" Onn tv that was on sale for $248.00 when I scanned it the price was $98.00,, I bought the tv and alerted another customer to buy the last one
Wish we had a Walmart manager that approves of it here in my town lol. Found a Heated Blanket $3 and manager there did not want to sell it to me. According to this manager there are not aloud to over ride prices.
only me when it was scanned at the cashier it rung up to $30 and when it was scanned on the Walmart app it came up to be $3. The manager refused to sell me the item according to her “Her Walmart does not over ride prices or give sale prices based on the App.”
@@AlyG It is not overriding prices! That is the amount that their scanners and your app says it is! Just because someone didn't mark it down in the store doesn't matter. It's whatever it says when it is scanned at the checkout (which is the same thing as your app)! BTW aloud is *allowed* 😊 Just read your 2nd comment......They should both say the same thing bcuz the prices are generated from a computer at HQ or somewhere and then downloaded to stores and apps. Doesn't make sense. Maybe you're using prices from WalMart.com instead of the in-store app. 🤷♀️
Great video man. My wife works at Walmart. She’s always bringing something home they marked down like 90%. And like u said, a lot of the stuff hasn’t been marked. The employees are sooooo busy and the prices change so often they just don’t get the time. Take care and God bless man.

For those of you with negative comments about Dept Managers not doing their job...Unless you've ever worked in a big box retailer, you have no idea how much those people have to do. Missing a markdown on some clearance items is a tiny piece, and less important than many many other responsibilities they have. Give them a break and be happy you get a better deal!!
Keith I do agree with this. Where I live there are so many huge Walmart’s and so much inventory moving. The best items to find not marked correctly are random clearance makeup - and that’s for the very reason you mention. I have huge respect for you making this comment! I have real love for Walmart employees - they are always super nice to me. ❤️
I mean i know walmart is a big store but they also have triple the amount of employees as targets do and all the targets in florida accurately price clearance (from what ive seen) its more about management and how they train their employees, and there is no real recognition to the employees that go out of their way to assist others. Target is a lot more positive with their employees (im an eletronics associate) and the way they do huddles and recognitions makes people work harder and actually enjoy their job. Customers come first so if something isnt priced correctly it makes for many unhappy guest. But i still do respect a lot of walmart employees just from what ive seen anyone with "power" doesnt know how to manage their teams right >.

Definitely glad I stumbled upon this vid. Watched it last night and ran to Walmart this morning. Scanned a bunch of things, found a few hidden discounts, something originally$30, marked down to $13 on hidden clearance for $3. From my first experience I think that looking at dates has been the most helpful part of finding the "hidden" markdowns. Thank you so much for this video.
My Walmart (Arnold Missouri ) has pretty decent employees, but the one in Sullivan Missouri blew me away with their outstanding employees. Every time I asked for help they went the extra mile. I remarked to the manager about how impressed I was and they said they treat their employees like family. So not ALL the Walmart’s are bad. I know a lot of people hate Walmart but for me it is a blessing because I must stretch every dollar.

There's also another type of hidden clearance. It's when people hide stuff from others so they can purchase it at a later time. I found some the other day Lol 😂

The app. REALLY DOES WORK GREAT!! You can find makeup if your a woman, games like you said, tools and clearing supplies! What’s great for me is, I always find something I want but then there’s no price on the item and most times no walmart employee around! So having this app. Saves me time and sooo much money!!

@@CerlenoxMartin Because the prices are computer generated by someone in HQ or whoever sets prices for all WalMarts. So when an item is scanned by that product #, if the price has gone down it will come up on the store computer and the app!
OMG ran across this video by accident and I am sooooo glad I did. I shop Walmart all the time and I have actually bought clearance items that will come up cheaper than marked and I always freak out that I got a better deal, but now that I know I can scan and look for better prices I am going to be on treasure hunts! Just a comment on general Walmart pricing... I live in a small town, where Walmart has little competition. Our prices on EVERYTHING are usually 20% or more higher than the Walmart in the next town - which also has a Target, Krogers, Aldi's, Meijer, etc. So keep this in mind when planning your strategy of which stores to visit first.

I just had to come on and tell you “OMG THANKS SO MUCH”!!!! After watching your videos I got so much stuff at Walmart!!! The fleece jackets I got for two dollars and the ticket said $7.00. I got one in all colors. I always open my app in Walmart and scan everything, I come out that place with low battery. Lmao 😂 I just happy you are telling the truth. Not like the others that had me going to Ross for about the whole month and they didn’t mark down anything!! I was so mad!! Anyway all the people at Walmart walk right by the clearance and don’t even know if they open up their phone it’s lower than the ticket price that they scanned!!! Whole crap!!! @@jassocitlaly5390 you just check out like you always do. It scans as the price that you see when you're scanning it with your phone. The barcode shows its marked down.. they just never changed the sticker with the new price on it.
Me and my husband have 4 kids and we are bargain hunters for sure, we shop at walmart all the time and I have used the app to shop cause it's on sale in the app , but I had no idea about this and the no stock has kept us from going to the store many times🤦 not any more , we will definitely be going to look anyways from now on, thanks !!!!!!

@@ivoryneshiawoodruff3318 u can to be safe but the point he was making was when it comes to markdowns in big box stores some get missed or they just dont produce a markdaown tag so u wouldnt know it unless u did a price check. So once its in the POS system that its marked down it should ring at the register for the discounted price.
I had to go 3 times to electronics recently because my sound bar rang up 10.00 more than the price tag said but they wouldn't override until i brought the price tag to them to prove it was ringing up wrong. You need to check all prices first because lately they have not rung up properly at several Wal-Mart's.

Im sure the Overhead is crazy just considering MNGMT, Security and 24 hr Lights On. Then add Theft and Damaged Returns that are accepted as a total Loss or get back pennies on the $1 for. Cause N Effect of being the MAIN or ONLY Store they killed the Mom n Pop Shops to be tho.

Totally legit! I watched this video a few days ago, finally went to Walmart tonight, and my daughter found a little Chelsea Barbie doll that was $6.88 on shelf (not marked as clearance) so I still scanned it and it turned out to only be $1.50. I also went around scanning other things and there was like a dump truck thing that was marked on clearance (Regularly ~ $50, marked at $29 BUT scanned at $13). Thanks for getting this information out there!
Open Walmart app, type clearance in search bar, click on nearest store, and you have a list of clearance items and locations in store. Then I check items of interest for not current price changes. I narrow search for departments. I always start with "clearance camping" I like crazy deals on camping items

Great video! Everything you said was great; however, sometimes different colors aren't the same price. Sometimes they have too much of one color or the store is allowed to markdown items at their own discretion which is why most stores are not the same with pricing clearance.

I've found things in the clearance section of my Walmart that rung up way lower than the marked down price. Got these wubble ball type things one time that were marked down to $10 from $50. Got to the register and they rang up for $3. Went back and bought them all. They made great birthday gifts for my kids friends. I didn't have to buy gifts for their classmates birthday parties all year!

I agree 100%. I used to work in Walmart and believe me when I tell you that it isn't easy. We smile and all the good stuff but it's a lot of work.

With Walmart anything ending in double zeros means it's a clearance item

Definitely glad I stumbled upon this vid. Watched it last night and ran to Walmart this morning. Scanned a bunch of things, found a few hidden discounts, something originally$30, marked down to $13 on hidden clearance for $3. From my first experience I think that looking at dates has been the most helpful part of finding the "hidden" markdowns. Thank you so much for this video.

My Walmart (Arnold Missouri ) has pretty decent employees, but the one in Sullivan Missouri blew me away with their outstanding employees. Every time I asked for help they went the extra mile. I remarked to the manager about how impressed I was and they said they treat their employees like family. So not ALL the Walmart’s are bad. I know a lot of people hate Walmart but for me it is a blessing because I must stretch every dollar.

The app. REALLY DOES WORK GREAT!! You can find makeup if your a woman, games like you said, tools and clearing supplies! What’s great for me is, I always find something I want but then there’s no price on the item and most times no walmart employee around! So having this app. Saves me time and sooo much money!!

I would say, it's a shortcut, not a trick. Managers are not making sure their employees are changing items regularly.
I bought about 8 pairs of shorts that were priced at $9 (regular price/no sale) when I scanned them on my app it said out of stock but they rung up $1

@@CerlenoxMartin Because the prices are computer generated by someone in HQ or whoever sets prices for all WalMarts. So when an item is scanned by that product #, if the price has gone down it will come up on the store computer and the app!

Just a comment on general Walmart pricing... I live in a small town, where Walmart has little competition. Our prices on EVERYTHING are usually 20% or more higher than the Walmart in the next town - which also has a Target, Krogers, Aldi's, Meijer, etc. So keep this in mind when planning your strategy of which stores to visit first.

I just had to come on and tell you “OMG THANKS SO MUCH”!!!! After watching your videos I got so much stuff at Walmart!!! The fleece jackets I got for two dollars and the ticket said $7.00. I got one in all colors. I always open my app in Walmart and scan everything, I come out that place with low battery. Lmao 😂 I just happy you are telling the truth. Not like the others that had me going to Ross for about the whole month and they didn’t mark down anything!! I was so mad!! Anyway all the people at Walmart walk right by the clearance and don’t even know if they open up their phone it’s lower than the ticket price that they scanned!!! Whole crap!!! @@jassocitlaly5390 you just check out like you always do. It scans as the price that you see when you're scanning it with your phone. The barcode shows its marked down.. they just never changed the sticker with the new price on it.
Me and my husband have 4 kids and we are bargain hunters for sure, we shop at walmart all the time and I have used the app to shop cause it's on sale in the app , but I had no idea about this and the no stock has kept us from going to the store many times🤦 not any more , we will definitely be going to look anyways from now on, thanks !!!!!!

So once its in the POS system that its marked down it should ring at the register for the discounted price.

I had to go 3 times to electronics recently because my sound bar rang up 10.00 more than the price tag said but they wouldn't override until i brought the price tag to them to prove it was ringing up wrong. You need to check all prices first because lately they have not rung up properly at several Wal-Mart's.

Totally legit! I watched this video a few days ago, finally went to Walmart tonight, and my daughter found a little Chelsea Barbie doll that was $6.88 on shelf (not marked as clearance) so I still scanned it and it turned out to only be $1.50. I also went around scanning other things and there was like a dump truck thing that was marked on clearance (Regularly ~ $50, marked at $29 BUT scanned at $13). Thanks for getting this information out there!

Open Walmart app, type clearance in search bar, click on nearest store, and you have a list of clearance items and locations in store. Then I check items of interest for not current price changes. I narrow search for departments. I always start with "clearance camping" I like crazy deals on camping items

Great video! Everything you said was great; however, sometimes different colors aren't the same price. Sometimes they have too much of one color or the store is allowed to markdown items at their own discretion which is why most stores are not the same with pricing clearance.

I've found things in the clearance section of my Walmart that rung up way lower than the marked down price. Got these wubble ball type things one time that were marked down to $10 from $50. Got to the register and they rang up for $3. Went back and bought them all. They made great birthday gifts for my kids friends. I didn't have to buy gifts for their classmates birthday parties all year!
