Here is another install video on the 2007 Lexus IS350. Today's video we will be installing a Megan Racing Axle Back Exhaust. Please let me know what you guys think of the new sound down below in the comments!

This sounds perfect. Anything louder like a muffler/res delete might make the car sound a bit raspy, and/or obnoxious. Just purchased one for my 07 is250. I just wanted my car to sound more aggressive, but not too excessive.

Had just the Megan racing axle back and it made more noise, but not enough for me. I kept my midpipes stock and deleted my resonator, and damn that shit sounds good now 👌🏼

@@senorbonbon it’ll sound way better imo. I ended up taking my resonator off as well and it’s loud
If you want more loud, get a resonator delete from a muffler shop or install an Invidia midpipe and it'll bring out the beautiful tone of the engine!
K Kumar yeah exactly what I was thinking! Still on the fence about it tho, since I love how it’s loud, but not to loud you know lol

@@alexisgomez9167 No, you need aftermarket axle-back of some sort for the Invidia Midpipe to make the exhaust louder.

If you unbolt the 14's first, the hangers at the tips are so much easier to just push off as the entire axle back can be pushed back now. Good to know when I install my Megan AB soon

Yes not to loud not to quiet it’s perfect!
Probably may get some drone because tips are under the bumper. To fix the issue, extend the tip out past the bumper line.

Where did you buy the gaskets ?
I know this is a old video but if anyone has the same problem as me just wanted to put this out there, I have a 2008 is250 and followed through with everything except when it came time to put on the new gasket it was way bigger then the old one. I’m not sure what I’ll do maybe go to autozone and look for something like the old one.

I purchased the exact same exhaust but have the muffler already pressed in. It's held in with 2 Allen head screws per muffler. Have any idea on easiest way to remove them? Thx.

Do the silencers make a difference on drone?
I take quite a few 5hrs drives at 60-70 mph and don't want to hear drone.

@@toddf4999 honestly don’t know because I took the silencers off when I got it, but the silencers don’t make a big difference in sound, it’s noticeable but no big difference, and honestly drone doesn’t bother me because i berly hear it, very minima
If you do have drone. What has helped me deal with it better was dynamatting under the carpet by the rear seats and trunk area. Doesn’t take it away completely if you have a ton of drone but it makes thing’s livable
is the gasket attaching to the resonator? I’m scared to buy this axle back now because i do not have a resonator so idk if it’ll work..

The stock exhaust has a Y split when it goes to each muffler (right underneath the spare tire area) that seems restrictive. Did the car felt a performance improvement or was adding the exhaust only for sound?
Only way to unlock the full potential of an aftermarket exhaust is to tune it the vehicle, and I got it mostly got it just for the sound

how do u get the exhaust tips to line up and be in the correct spot?
Daniel Svancara good question bro, I haven’t done it, mine rubs against my diffuser, but I don’t really mind it, but I would assume just try to flex the tips and try to move it around from the exhaust hangers to get it to your liking position

Only on freeway, but with some music it doesn’t bother
Did this throw codes when you installed? That’s my fear, I have an 08 IS250 AWD.
Jacob Westhoff yes it threw 1 code I forgot what it was but I cleared it and it never came back, but I believe it’s pretty normal for it to throw a code at first when you install

@@IdkWhtYouDid you can clear it with a obd2 scanner, if you don’t have one you can go to your local auto part and they can probably do it for you, also you can disconnect the battery sometimes that clears it too, but you might not get a code but if you do it’s pretty normal

Timothy Tran in the sound clip the silencers were still in, but I took them off and it sounds a bit louder, it’s nothing dramatic, but it does make a bit of a difference!

I gonna tell you something. Almost people search "X" exhaust in youtube And that people don't give a fuck the process of the exhaust replacement. We just want to ear the new exhaust even the after and before but we dont care how do they replace it. So that video could be of 2 minutes max. Not almost 13 min.

Look, genius. It says "How to install" right there in the title. He's not trying to pass it off as an exhaust tone clip. And there will be people that find this helpful, even if it's for installing a different exhaust. If the installation process is not for you, skip to the last couple of minutes. Or did you not know you could do that?
I have a 2011 ...spending Money on an exhaust was a WASTE ...it Takes off Faster when its STOCK & quiet ... just delete Cats until Smoggy tyme
An exhaust won’t make your car faster just by installing it, real gains are only gained when you tune it after install
