I came because of lasers but my Dad loved playing with wood, fixing things and using his lathe so watching you do woodwork will be great 😊

I'm one of those woodwork people who follow you, but seeing the things you create using the laser is very interesting as well. The teacher in you does come through in your videos, which i do appreciate that style.

I enjoy both the wood working and the laser videos. You have given me a lot of inspiration with your videos. Btw, i love your story on your website. We need more humans like you and your wife spreading love, valuen and understanding to all. God Bless your family always.

I'm new to woodworking and found your channel searching for videos on how to make cutting boards. I also like tutorials on the proper use of traditional power tools like routers and saws. Congratulations on your success (100k+ subscribers) and the crazy amount of output you've shown given this is your "side hustle." Your enthusiasm is contagious, so keep up the great work and do what makes you happy!

I’m here for you, brother! Been following for years. I’m a traditional guy at heart. Just got a CNC (OneFinity) and LOVE it and now I want a laser. Just can’t decide. I believe the “machines” enhance and broaden your reach. I also commend you for owning your craft and taking deals that will help your family! God Bless!

Terrific videos in all the areas you work with. During COVID I went full blast and after years a playing with wood I finally went over the top into woodworking. Problem is now I'm in the very early stages of moving from TN to Upstate NY. At least this will give me the ability and time to setup a new shop to accommodate all my needs. My needs now include hardwood cutting boards and turning on the lathe. A product that is getting started in my shop is anything to do with lasers. Your laser videos drove me to this end and I really find laser a whole new area of crafting! Keep all the different videos coming....I enjoy them all.

Your excellent cutting board and router bowl videos are largely responsible for me getting into woodworking a couple years ago. I've since built a shop in the backyard and spend most of my time making sawdust, so thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently focused on woodturning because that is a whole new set of skills to learn and things to make. However, I do still make cutting boards from time to time. Focus shifts as new fun things come to light. I'm not into laser or CNC work, but if I venture in that direction, I will definitely check out your videos, because you produce excellent content and are a great, enthusiastic teacher. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

I was into woodworking before seeing the cutting boards, router bowl and Christmas ornaments videos, but those videos raised the bar for me. My son got involved and we started putting out product and selling it. That would not have happened without this channel. A big thank you!

Your content is among the best on TH-cam and your “why” is second to none.
Keep doing what you’re doing-your style is unique, entertaining, and informative.
I’ll never understand how people can bash content creators who earn money and receive products from companies. I’d venture to say most of the critics would love to have that opportunity themselves.
As for what I enjoy on your channel, I genuinely love it all. From one family man “weekend warrior woodworker/laser engraver” to another, I appreciate what you do.

I think you are doing a great job developing your woodworking journey in fun and creative ways. There will always be a segment that doesn’t like change, and that’s ok! There are channels that no longer fit in my path forward. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t still an audience for their content, and it’s not my job to judge that.
Keep doing what is best for you, your family and your rich community.

I just started receiving a lot of offers from companies and it's hard to find the balance because I see the new tools as an opportunity to broaden what I can do in my shop, but at the same time, it seems to draw attention away from what I normally do. I appreciate your openness to share your experience and good to know that big TH-camrs go through the same stuff. Thanks for that vid.

My daughter is a Special Ed teacher and is on her 16th year break, so thanks for what you do and enjoy the time off. Congrats on the 108K subs. I don't have a laser and do not watch those videos. The good news is that this is a "side hussle" so you can run/manage your channel as you wish. You are lucky to have the ability to pick and choose sponsors etc.
All that being said, your tutorial videos are the best on the tube and I appreciate how and what you do. Very inspirational and show us how to achieve a GREAT project and the various ways to achieve the end result using different tools etc. Carpe Diem! !! !!!
PS: you might consider a "laser channel" Thanks again and say Hi to the kids

Great video Thank you for your honesty and sharing a little insight into your family. I started watching for the woodworking I’m older and just trying to learn and get started in woodworking so watching you bowl and cutting boards videos is what got me interested in this channel. I struggle with tech knowledge i’m very intrigued what you have done with the lasers and find it amazing and still watch because of that even though I don’t understand it in the programming of them someday to be able to get one and learn how to do the stuff you do. So keep up the amazing work, but do hope to see some more Woodworking videos in the future. God Bless you and your family 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

I came for the router work. Don't have a lathe, or the space for one at this time so the router bowl and tray work was interesting to me. As for the lasers: I am on the fence but am leaning quite aways over to getting one for myself. The first projects would be to personalize my creations, but I would like to learn how to make items that I could sell. So, I thank you for both of the types of content you make. Keep doing what you do, keep that balance in your life, and don't feel like you have to justify yourself to anyone but your family. And keep God in your life.

Table saws, CNC, lasers…They are just tools to be used to create. Traditionally anytime a new ‘tool’ is introduced many are skeptical and scoff. Understandable but if it fits into workflow and allows the creative juices flow press forward. I am slowly starting a side hustle myself. I have a full time job that I love. Someone pays for me to travel the US and Canada to train staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Labs. The side hustle is a great way to unwind and recharge. Each TH-cam needs to have its own ‘flavor,’ I enjoy your content and your projects. So, in short you can’t listen to the noise and expect to hear the music. Keep up the good work!

I’m here for your content overall. Found you through lasers but I do traditional woodwork (just aspire to have a laser lol). I get the vibe that this video was aimed at people who maybe who have been demanding things of you - less laser content, more content, etc. if so that really sucks and I’m sorry that you feel like you have to explain yourself to people. Keep doing what you do the rest can move on like you said. You do great work. Keep chugging along and prioritizing your family.

I do not have any plans to unfollow you because all of your current videos are laser videos but I most likely wont watch them unless I get into lasers.
I personally do not feel you are a sellout for partnering with xtool. My feeling is good for you if you can try out new tools and give reviews on them. I also feel cnc and lasers are still woodworking.
