Why keep it stock man? My TTRS is stage 1 ECU/ stage 2 TCU with ICS and K&N filter. It's SOOOO much faster.

Now that you guys have the 5cyl bug, take a little ok at a 5cyl Volvo C30 turbo, they’re bonkers little nuggets that will happily make huge power. Can give the golf rs3 a run for its money for 1/4 the $.
Or if you want to be a philistine the Focus ST with the same engine.
Time to try a diesel engine I recommend a om606

My mom had the best word for cylinders i ever heard. I took her out in my 2018 Shelby gt350r the day after i traded my c5 zo6 in for it. Obviously they sound completely different and the Shelby revs out to 8,250 rpm so she asked, "oh my goodness this is a helluva lot faster than your vette how many, "deelybobs" does it have?" I just told her i loved her and updated her on the accurate information but told her to continue to refer to everything car related as "deelybobs" and ill be happy. Love you mom.
If you like the sound of straight 5 engines, but don’t have RS3 money, buy a used Volvo C30. They sound awesome and have a 2.5L turbo 5 cylinder
Or, if you want a bigger hatch, there was also a 2nd gen V40 with the same 2.5 turbo 😉
They also put the engine in Ford Focus ST and RS.
Or any of the P2’s really. Looking forward to putting an exhaust on my 2.5t XC70
@@martinl1427 yeah those are incredible, but I’m biased toward my first car: 2012 C30 R-Design. I learned how to work on cars with that thing. She’s still going strong today even after being hit in the rear by a lifted F150
@@Rickie-Goldsworth They really sound great. Modern turbo 4-bangers never did it for me. (I do appreciate my Alfa Romeo GTV2000 4-cyl sound though)
Been tempted by that car for years. I test drove a new one back in the day and the steering had zero feel. I wonder if that can be improved much?

Love when you boys go through tunnels. My brother had an old HJ premier with a 308 v8 with dual exhaust system. Every time we went through tunnels or u der passes the windows would come down and drop it back a gear. Loved the sound of that car

@@watchmewrench9462Audi ranked 34 out of 40 manufacturers on the reliability index in the UK. Not the worst but a long way off the best cars which are largely from from Japan. I’ve owned one car from VAG (Golf) and there was always some problem with it. My brother had the DSG failure with his Golf GTI.
@@nickm133 What you fail to acknowledge is that an Audi is more complex than a Daihatsu, which is rated #1 in your UK reliability index. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that a simpler car isn't going to have as many mechanical or electric failures. Does that make it a better car? No. Duh.
@@watchmewrench9462 I was pointing out that his comment was not wrong. Audi is unreliable when you compare it to brands like Honda. Also, there are a number of brands with complex cars in the top 20 of that list. My ‘97 Golf CL manual was far from complex and an absolute disaster.
I just got a used $200 Borla catback exhaust for my audi a4 b6 1.8t. It's So cool to see this video the same day I get a quality exhaust on my german wagon! Love the rs3, I want one badly

I really thought that I would like the visual mods, but looking at the before and afters.. I can't take the modded look as serious as the stock look. I guess I'm so used to seeing modified expensive cars done cheaply and that puts a bad 'taste' in my mind. Sounds amazing and I'm sure its super fun! Cheers!

Funny thing is that tuning the TCU actually helps it live longer. From the factory there's purposefully the delay between shifts so the car feels smoother and by doing that the clutch packs die quicker, especially on an ECU tuned car

Hi guys, big fan of the show and a long time follower.
Just some criticism from a personal perspective, the most recent content has just been feeling a bit rushed, almost short and commercial. Personally I enjoy when things are more explained, going into more depth of what was done and how it was done, regardless of doing things previously. An example, this upload being the dyno time and first drive of the RS3 all in 9 minuets, some more driving an maybe some extremal footage or night time driving would of been awesome. My favorite content from you guys was still Supergramps build.
Anyway, always will be massive fan and keep up the awesome show, looking forward to what you guys have planned. All the way from South Africa.

Obviously has a waste gate by the sound whichor some reason I did not know it would have...yet. Awesome vehicle! Wow, Euro Werke is about the coolest looking aftermarket shop I've seen on the web. I would think you could eat off the flor and the design of the building is clean and functional. The dyno cabinet is totally awesome with sound deadening tiles and cool overhead lighting.
Guys, this is just a space car. Well done!!!!

There’s a term used for this circumstance, it’s carcooned (cocooned in your car). Cars are built to higher standards and are much safer. Which in turn creates a false sense of security at higher speed, or not dependent on your preference. My point is it’s much easier to find yourself cruising at higher speeds because of being carcooned without feeling the sensation associated with speed.
