there is nothing to solve. The heat is normal, its a bigger oil cooled engine. Heat is less compared to other motorcycles..ENjoy riding. DOnt worry about heat
Hi Sir, after I ride my ronin for longer duration it gets heated but after that when I try to start my engine again it takes time. I have to press the switch and keep still it does not start quickly. I think so this engine start problem is only after it gets heated after riding. And I face it always. I have shown it to to the service center but they don't have a fix for it at least for now. Please let me know if you have faced this issue.
May be your vehicles decompressor is reducing the chamber pressure during your crank. Looks like no issue. Concern is only when your vehicle does not start even after 3 to 4 cranks.

You feel so as the heat gets dissipated around the fuel tank since it is close by. The bike is compact and power is excellent. Dont worry about the heat. Since the bike is naked, you feel the heat a bit
Thnx for reply mate, bike is good but trust me the heating issue is unbearable. My thighs feel it's heat a lot. Sometimes it's takes time to start and sometimes its get vibration while I switch on the engine. Really feel bed for these issues. Tell me the is there anyway to resolve the heating issue ar shall I sell it?

Hi, the measurement is your block temperature. It can go upto 160 degrees. Don't worry the engine is fine. It s a oil cooled engine..heat will be there.

Engine dont have any problem. The problem is with the third class engine oil of TVS. It gets thin after 100 km of ride. No Lubrication in engine. That's why apache gets tappet noise problem. Switch to Castrol 10w 40 or motul 10w 40.
Hi mate, it's not only with TVS, all OE's use a lower cost EO during the first fill as they usally flush the engine, during your initiatial running in duration this is the reason they advice to run vehicle at lower rpm as the engine oil will help flush and clean the debris caused due to machining. Later on during your 1st service you replace oil for this reason. BTW this is the reason why your 1st service is the earliest. Also 10W40 unless it is ester based EO there willbe no difference. 20W50 will make a difference, but you may face starting issues if you are in a cold region
@@spmotoworld yes as I said the 20w50 will not do good at lower temp, and that you I said you have issues as oil doesn't circulate well. But helps vehicle run smoother.. I sticked on to the 10w40 tru4 synthetic of. TVS till I sold my rtr for ronin.
Perhaps he is right about tvs engine oil. Engine oil supplied to service centres in last few months have issues. Just after 1st service Ronin users start complaint about overheating. And even if no Easter the kinematic velocity of tvs tru4 is lower (being 10w30) from 10w40. Secondly, perhaps tvs is using more calcium in oil to keep engine clean, but this may increase the problem as on the one hand after few 100s km oil looses kinematic velocity ( gets thinner) and on the other hand this thin oil is being cleared from surfaces. Secondly it has low dispersant that means surface area of oil/liquid will not be increased quickly to let it cool. So engine oil is keeping it's temperature with it. Low quantity of dispersant and high on detergent is not good for BS6 engines. So I too have strong doubt over tvs engine oil and specially of current year batches. As there may be 2 reason old engine oil not suitable for BS6 and 2nd quality from manufacturer is compromised somehow after making. Tvs should test tru4 10w30 oil from the customers complaining overheating just after service.
Neutral is a short gear.. slow tap when you are on 1st or 2nd gear.. you should be ablel to find it. Or chances that the clutch play is less giving you harder shifts. Fix these.. should resolve
I got my new Ronin last week ... I was facing the same issue ... Now I am finding neutral by upshifting to 2nd gear and then short down for neutral .... It seems much more easier than finding it from 1st gear
I felt engine more noisy and generating more heat in 1,2 gear slightly less in 3rd gear ,while in 4&5 gear engine works smoothly . In highway riding i felt more comfortable but in city riding we have to regularly switch gears ,so I felt engine is doing extra effort while making pickup in 1,2 gear .simply engine is actually not performing according to throttle in gear 1,2 . I hope u got my issue!
Hi mate, yes the engine runs on Rich fuel when in high torque gears especially the first and second.. and as u upshift faster is the vehicle and leaner the fuel..between at lower speeds u will hardly have good air supporting better heat dissipation. This is a common phenomenon..and this engine is tuned for better torque which enables you to drive at lower speeds without downshifting from higher gears. @@Orbvlogs after first service , i am facing issue of engine heating , irritating chain noise ! I just drove 10 km in city and engine is heated upto certain mark that u just touch it with finger ! Being an square engine where they kept bore and stroke at same dimensions, I think somehow they lacked up in tunning of engine ! Also after lubrication of chain i think it starts making more noise while running, the showroom guys says that this noise is not an problem,it will remain as long as u drove! I think the basic engineering lacks here , they focused in adding extra features, ergonomics to make it unscripted however this basic issue( intially ) not occurs in brands like RE

Ok Let us understand. But TVS are the established two wheeler mfgr company. So we are expecting complete utility from Ronin. I had purchased RONIN in Cash last month. I have many options but trust weighed on TVS. Some questions : Where should lady co pessager put legs while wearing saree ? There is no mudflap on front wheel thus your bike is completely dusty specially in wet ? My driving Experience is like a Horse Riding but if the driver is weight by100 kgs & want's to drive 80-90 kgs destination the comfort is 0. Can You drive continues ? There is no baggage space even for small articals ? I had shared the experience of Horse riding well complaint to TVS customer care. No reply till today.
Hi mate, get a lady pillion footrest. They are available at the showroom I have been able to ride the bike continuously, say for about 4 to 5 hrs, I take a short break in between for fuel etc and I start over again... hasn't been that discomforting. My be the suspension is on the softer side. You may try with different setting to match your ride feel
Hi, I haven't experienced any chain noise, but there is a bit of noise which comes from the slider which is referred as chain noise by users. That's not a concern

Nope.. it's all good. No heating issue. What can u expect from a 220cc oil cooled engine? There will be a bit of heat.. drive hunter 350. You will know what heating issue is

Heat is pretty normal on a bigger engine compact vehcile. Nothing to worry. Keep motoring.

Yes... it is a good bike for daily commuting as well as for touring

Chances that mounting bolts are loose.. try getting it tighten at service

For my ronin, it starts vibration on the foot pegs after 60km/hr. Is that expected?
