Dear Mr. Imran, your tips are very useful. Oil has a specific heat of 0.5, whereas water (water with coolant - ethylene glycol) has a specific heat of 1, so twice the circulation of oil is needed to take away heat from the engine cylinder wall. Air has specific heat of 0.25 and therefore 4 times air circulation is needed to cool the engine compared to liquid cooling. The viscosity of oil at high temperatures must be such that the film of oil between cyclinder wall and piston must not break down. So oil must be such that the desired viscosity range is maintained over a wide range of lube oil temperatures. Modern bikes go for higher compression ratios and extract top end performance with 4V DOHC designs. So these bikes are very sensitive to oil quality , coolant quality etc., Our simple 100 or 150 cc commuter bikes have higher design safety margin and is not run for many kms at a stretch. That is why these problems are seen much less. Synthetic oils may offer good viscosity stability at high revs and engine lube oil temperatures, but the viscosity may become very low at cold temperatures. All manufacturers want to make money by selling lube oil to you in the first two years using their own brand names. These are produced by oil companies and their label is put on it. These are my views. So please excuse.

Running in is most important in a bike's life. First 1000 km you should not exceed 5000 rpm and also change gears frequently. I am always doing this properly and thereafter it runs smoothly.

Just try 10w40 grade engine oil. A dramatic change will be noticed. You'll feel the butter 🧈 touch in 225. Love this bike so much. You just need to do a little work and it'll show you the real meaning of #unscripted

Tank heat mujhe 1 baar hua tha jab maine shell ka petrol daala tha , now I put HP power petrol & tank doesn’t heat. Also tank ekdam top tak nhi full karwana hopefully it will help you.

I just purchased Ronin a week ago and it is showing engine temp rise 130℃ after 10km ride. At What range should engine temperature be for ronin?
I have clearly mentioned in video why engine heat is produce wear & year in new engine, this will get reduce after 1st service. I don’t check temperature if I feel heat on legs it means bike has high engine temperature.

I ride 20 kms in city traffic it's temperature increases upto 151°c is it normal a slight smell of something feels from engine
Slight smell is normal if there are no other symptoms like engine knocking issue or performance dip in engine.
Asalaam u alaikum bhai. I wanted to know the normal temperature range for ronin engine. In my app it sometimes shows temperature of upto 145 degrees. So please tell me after how many degrees it gets overheated. Is it normal.
Generally temperatures should vary between 82 to 110 depending on driving conditions weather & place, however if you bike is new & engine heats up nothing to worry it will be normal after 1st service when oil is changed it happen Ms due to friction in engine parts when it is brand new.

Brother my new tvs Ronin's petrol tank is heating up. The first service is not done yet. Is this a problem for all Ronin bike or just mine.
Heating on petrol tank even I felt same, but not all the time. I think when you full your tank it get’s heat up some times on quality of fuel as well. But we cannot find exact reason. I would say try not to full tank keep half or less than half & then observe.
I haven't full my tank. When I ride small distances it gets heated up and while riding in heavy traffic also. But when riding long distance without much traffic it's not heating

Hello, congratulations for completing 1000km in your Ronin. My bike goes above 100 without any vibrations. Did you completed your first service?

@@harishsingh9394 then in that case get the bike checked in service center, because TVS Ronin doesn’t have any vibration. Engine is butter smooth this could be the issue on your bike only.

@@harishsingh9394 Harish it is very difficult to suggest online unless test ride is taken. This can happen for multiple reason. However you can check below 👇 pointers when you visit service center:-
1) Low engine oil can cause vibrations due to friction and heat & can also reduce engine performance. Low oil is not able to lubricate the internal components that’s why engine gets hot and causes vibrations. I have created dedicated video 👇

2) Thick engine oil is not able to flow inside the motorcycle engine and has a low rate of flow inside the engine. Overtime the oil gets thicker & thicker due to dirt catching action. After sometime it starts burning and oil level reduces and vibrations increase.
3) The chain is the most important in motorcycle it transfers the engine power to rear wheel, so it should be kept adjusted and lubricated. A tight chain will put load on engine & gears by causing a harsh ride. TVS suggests chain cleaning & lubricant every 500 kms & chain adjustment if needed every 1000 kms. 4) The rear brake shouldn’t be tight, it should have some freeplay. If it is tight then it means that you are running your motorcycle while brakes are engaged.This will load the engine and the rear wheel become hot. So do not forget to check the front & rear brakes disk alignment.
5) Incorrect valve tappets setting will also increase engine vibraton. If they are loose they will cause rattling noise and vibrations. If one of them is too tight and other is too loose still it will create knocking sound & vibrations.
6) Lastly dirty air filter might decrease engine performance & might also struggle for pickup & speed.
I hope these information is enough for you while you visit service center so that you communicate & identify correct problem.

Yes Sir heating issue is there due to friction in new spare of engine, after 1st service spare will have less friction & heating issue will be resolved don’t worry.

TVS Ronin is best VFM if you are looking for daily commuting in city & occasional long ride. Other good options are YAMAHA Fz25, MT15 & Suzuki Gixer 250, however if you are looking for long rides then these are not VFM & not comfortable for long rides.

HI .my ronin bike is gets jerking while ride , after 3 to 4 hrs of halt at same place and it get normal after 10km of ride....just 1week before only i have taken the delivery.

Same issue faced by me, but i immediately contacted the service center, they changed the TPS censor, now everything is fine.
@@safarwithimran when i leave the bike at same place for 3 to 4 hrs and after gets start to ride on that time i felt some jerking. What i mean for jerking is when we ride a bike without fuel on that time we felt some blockage on the bike. that same blockage i felt after 4hrs of halt.

As your bike is new due to friction in engine will generate heat more but eventually your engine will reduce heat after 1st service, however your bike band nahi hona chaye.

I hope you have watched my engine heating issue video, I have clearly mentioned engine heating is not an issue however overheating is an issue.
Most of the users are complaining who have not completed 1st service or not following proper instruction.
You have to understand engine spares are brand new due to friction in spare heat is produced & it is normal. However it should not overheat.
Therefore if you follow instructions I highlighted in video & when you clock few 100 kms engine heat will decrease & after 1st service it will reduce to an extent where you will not feel heat at all on your legs.
Yesterday I clocked 6700kms in 4 months completed my 2nd service as well. I don’t find any engine overheating issue.

Today i took a test drive of TVs Ronin top model
I rode only for about 5 kms at less than 60kmph
But when I finished i noted that engine was heated rapidly
I can feel that on my right leg.
I asked showroom men, he told as it is a new bike it's common.
But if it heats up for only 5 km, then how can we expect it will not overheat for a long ride of 100 or 200 kms.
Now after test ride i am in a dilemma weather to buy Ronin or go with other options 🥺
I am assuming you have followed all instructions I shared in this video still you felt engine over heating issue.
Showroom men told you correct. Engine heats up because of friction in engine spares which are brand new. After riding few hundred kilometres engine heat will start reducing. After 1st service engine heat will reduce so much that you won’t feel heat on your legs at all. I am saying this after clocking above 6000kms on my Ronin.
Can you please recollect yourself did you kept cold engine start ON for a minute or two until RPM dropped below 2 & then you started your test ride, if not then I feel personally this could be only reason to get engine overheat up for 5 kms.
Finally my thoughts engine heating is not an issue, however engine overheating is an issue.

I live in a hilly area where it rains for almost 6 months a year and i want to purchase this bike only for touring purpose in the weekends.
Will TVS RONIN be a good option for hilly rides.....?
@@theja3 Yes iRonin is good option, it depends on your expectation as well. However with 225 cc it has decent torque for hilly areas. I am loving it however If you are looking for more torque power than you might have to go little higher cc bike for more torque. But that will obviously increase your budget for bike & you will have to compromise on mileage as well.
