  • As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with a learning guide or useful tips.
    My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
    Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
    I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass. I do not have the VIP, or cars pass, this is the basic game as available to everyone.
    I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.
    Jump into the comments section, I always answer, look for further advice, constructive criticism and most of all fun.
    Share your experience, shout out to me that you raced with me, that I beat you, or more importantly you BEAT ME.
    Thankyou all for looking and watching. Be safe, Race safe and again most of all have fun.
    Equipment list as basic:

    The Lambo is the fastest car around any normal track(aside from the handling ones) but it is the most unstable one as well. Its got insane top end and good cornering but its super inconsistent on the kerbs, eats up the tires and the rear end is a pain to deal with. That aside, it is usually the fastest car on a track if driven correctly.

      Yeah it really does pack a punch but like you say can be a struggle on cornering tracks. See me in my infinite wisdom thought mid engine would be pretty good on a cornering track lmfao.
      Yeah it is a car that needs to be in the right home with the right person lol

    They should switch collision penalties off until they find a way to fix it

      No kidding buddy. Such a pain when you’re not at fault. Same with of track. Spent 20 seconds getting out of the gravel to be greeted with another 2 seconds for of track. even if you are punted of lol

    Hi Flash. A couple of thoughts on the car setup. I don't know the default anti-squat of the car, but it seems awfully high just watching it. I would try -10 to start. Otherwise, sometimes the real trick is the tire pressures. I'm assuming they are around 29 lbs in the rear. It may seem like an over adjustment, but try losing 5 lbs out of the rear just to see what happens. It may seem totally absurd, but also try losing a full 10 pounds just for arguments sake. I've fixed a few impossible cars just by adjusting tire pressure. If that helps, you may have to soften the front springs a bit to counteract the tire wear by shifting a bit of weight to the front. Whenever I tune a car, i first balance the weight with the springs depending on weight distribution. It usually makes adjusting the rest easier. A lot of real life formulas do work for this. I usually shift 15 pounds for every percentage point of distribution. So if a car is 49/51, i stiffen the front 15 lbs and soften the rear 15 pounds from a neutral setting.

      Yeah it is high to even start with. I lowered it some. You know when you are adjusting things and you think maybe I am going too far. I even went past that and it was still a little unhappy lol.
      Yeah my tire pressures were set for more endurance racing rather than ultimate grip so I did lower them after the race. It helped a little. I may need to be more drastic with the car to be honest.
      Yeah I get you bud. I do need to really take a deep dive into that car moreover what I usually do. Seems to be a character on its own lol
      Thanks though bud. It is much appreciated.

    The lambos rear end can be tamed by keeping the rear tyres loaded through a turn, the biggest problem is letting off mid turn and turn entry keep a very small percentage on throttle

    • @Flashms
      @Flashms

      That is very good to know. More a case of holding it steady rather than upsetting the car

      @@Flashms yeah exactly, it doesn't like what transfer much so you need to keep it's weight consistently over the rear axle, the Aston is the same as are all the Porsches (GT class exclusively here)

      @danieldryden718 yeah man that’s good to know thanks bud.
      May have to try the Porsche. I hear it’s great but also a little on the character side lol

    I think you drive the lambo quite well, enjoyed it! The biggest flaw of that car is tire wear, it eats tires :/ am I right in thinking you have tc, sc and ABS off?

    • @Flashms

      Thanks buddy
      Yeah you’re not the first person to say that. It does seem to like to eat them. Yeah not tc or abs

    The lambo is the hardest of the GT3 (GR.3) cars in GT7 to drive

    • @Flashms

      I have not had to luxury of trying it out but on acc it is far more stable as that is the usual car I run or the Lexus.

    I love the Lambo's, both of them.
    However, the EAT UP TYRES. It's insane how high the tyre wear is with these things.

    • @Flashms

      Yeah I did notice that, especially the rear tires, they got hammered lol.

      @@Flashms Tip with the Lambo: Avoid wet/rain races. The wets are incapable of hanging on properly after 3 laps :P
      You can get a way with medium length races though. A Medium-Medium strategy often still works on most tracks and for some reason the Hards are not that bad on the lambo. But tracks that were capable of giving you a Medium-Soft strat are simply out of the question.
      You will also not be capable of doing any other pit strategy other than pitting halfway through the race and not a lap more.

    • @Flashms

      Yeah I learned that one the other night, safe to say it went as well as expected lol.
      ooooff it is that brutal on tires, wow. kind of crazy really.

      The tyre wear is to balance out the fact the Lambos are overpowered in the GT class

    with the lambo when you brake you have to ride the brake a little more.

      Yeah I get you bud. I also need to go back to the drawing board and re tune it as I have now made it much worse lmfao.
      It is a twitchy car though.

      Hey buddy
      That is good to hear.
      I have it on simulation.
      You can always join the discord buddy. Plenty of tunes on there and the link is in the description. We host races and a load of other things.
      Forza is really one of the better ones. Assetto corsa with mods is better but forza once you get the wheel right is really good.
      Well when the grip loss on a front wheel drive you can really notice it. Not so much on a rear wheel drive but then again you can hear it and there is a noticeable change on the wheel to cue your losing control.

    you could try softening the rear ARBs to help with the kick

    • @LongTimeAgoNL

      To be fair, the kick sometimes helps you get around corners really quickly.
      It just eats up your rear tyres.

    • @Flashms
      @Flashms

      I did lower them by a good amount, but I was on the fence about lowering it more thinking I may be going to far and thus giving me the problem, I will look into it more and go all out with the softening of the rear ARB.

    • @Flashms
      @Flashms

      Yeah the kick did help on the shorter corners, not so fun on a long corner, and when you just want it to behave its like trying to take something out of a dogs mouth as soon as it realises you spotted it chewing on something it is not meant to lol
