I Captured the GREEN COMET next to MARS

In this video I captured comet c/2022 E3 passing next to mars. I didn't have that many opportunities to capture it but glad I did before its gone for a while. Make sure to like the vid and sub:) Clear skies!

Hey, congratulations on capturing the conjunction of the comet and Mars. Unfortunately, I missed that opportunity due to bad weather (raining) that weekend. However, I did manage to get some images on other clear nights. I will be posting on Instagram later. That's a nice-looking image of the comet and Mars that you shot, edited, and put together. I have learned a solution with Deep Sky Stacker using the comet mode. As you move the cursor over the image, if it does not detect the comet, you can hold down the shift key and then click on the comet. This will select it.

To fix your comet not selecting problem, you can hold shift while positioning your cursor over the comet and click on it and it will stack with all of the other frames. Love your work, clear skies!

Great capture! Make the switch to Siril. I did about a year ago have never gone back to dss. I ha e found that dss degrades your images and Siri's comet registration is fantastic, you use the first frame with comet and last frame with comet and it predicts the speed and travel for all other frames. So fast

I stacked 90 images worth like 4 minutes of exposure!, deep sky stacker only stacked 75 even though I did Try stacking 100% of those Frames. I had a Lot of Trial and error trying to Process a Comet myself! Regardless, I'm glad To actually see This comet that i won't see again in 50,000 years. The conjunction with mars Really helped. Nice image There Micheal!
