This 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is Chassis #0710TR and the first customer car delivered by Ferrari. It was raced in period at Sebring, the Argentina 1000, and Nassau Speed Week, and has continued to turn heads with its amazing bodywork throughout its lifetime.
This car is owned and permanently displayed by the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, who were gracious enough to give me the opportunity to film some of the finer details on this car.

What a fabulous museum. I make a visit there anytime I am in Philadelphia. Worth it! A few years ago I was there with my wife. It was a really cold winter day and there were not many visitors that day. As it turns out Dr Simeone was also there that day and he made it a point to sign the copy of his book that I purchased. In addition, the caretakers for the museum collection were also kind enough to invite my wife and I back into the service area where they were doing maintenance work on one of the two Mercedes Gullwing coupes...one is Dr Simeone's and the other was his fathers. Wow, simply amazing!!! An experience that I will never forget.
RIP Dr. Simeone. greatest auto museum ever!

Look at those air air pass through openings from the front leading inboard. That's exactly the same shape that Austin Martin Valkyrie uses almost 70 years later

I was so lucky to see and hear one at Zandvoort Historic GP , a few years ago .
I can ensure everyone that the sound on the long strait along the pitlane is out of this world , MUSIC !

Many years ago, a college student in Seattle WA. owned one of these Ferraris and sold the car for $2000.00.

Nope. Jaguar still using I-6 and junk carbs, whereas Ferrari using V-12 and Webbers....

The wide angle lens I used might be playing some tricks because it's definitely a tight squeeze in there!
Should have been made with a removable steering wheel for an easier get-in, get-out. Also one of my favorite car. That TR is one of the reason why FERRARI is a so magic brand.

I agree. The later Testarossa fenders were more "finished" looking -- sleeker, I guess.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as the saying goes. More people would disagree with you that it is not good looking!

Many Ferraris really are not great looking cars, this one is a disjointed mess.
@@johnjubie7144 - Well, the first and most significant aspect of a race car is that it be fast. Looks are probably the least important. That said, I'll assume you have heard the saying "form follows function." The Testa Rossa had the slipperiest shape of any car in its class at the time helping to reduce drag and make it one of the very fastest too. Do you see now why the looks of it are insignificant? Personally, I happen to feel it is very attractive, but that is a moot point. Each to his own!

Testa Rossa may truly be best Ferrari ever (although I also really like 335S 1957), but I would prefer the car next to it in video - Maserati 300S! Absolute harmony in everything, in lines and shape, in technical aspects and in ideal, best handling. No wonder Stirling Moss considered this Maserati best sports racer and his favorite! ❤

When I was a young kid I had a Strombecker TR for my slot car set. It and a GTO were my favorite cars. I thought they were beautiful. I still do.
One of these was also on display at the Ford Museum for several years. It was moved to the Automotive Hall of Fame.

It's a Maserati, not a Ferratri.
