Caleb just needs to make sure he keeps his hair gel away from the loading bench and he'll be fine.

Been reloading since 1960. I remember the near jelly-like case lube. Fun days.😒 I still use Imperial wax or case lube from Eagle Tears. And in 64 years I've never had a stuck case. But then again I don't get in a hurry.😉

I'm a novice reloader, and I certainly didn't know about this hole. Interesting. Thanks guys! 👍

I’ve been reloading for over 40 years yes the hole you’ll find this to relieve pressure that builds up inside the sizing die you have to be careful of your lube building up and when you clean your die you have to take a little pen and make sure that hole is cleaned out or you’ll have problems. I use many loops in the past but I found the easiest and cheapest is a very light sewing machine oil. I put on my pad and I wipe the shell with a clean rag so there’s no extra oil and put it in the Die. knock on wood I had no problem for over 30 years👍🏻

Same with bullet seating dies. Make sure that you keep those holes cleaned out!

I found that a few times the lock ring on the sizing die covers up that vent hole depending on that manufacturer press you’re using and how you have the die set!

I had a suspicion about the hole. I still use the green pad with the stuff that attracts cat hair, in my case it's dog hair.

hoping to get into reloading soon, would love a nice step by step series like the AR build series. Always helps when not tied to one brand sponsor cuz you're free to recommend different tools for different price points instead of the new hotness affiliate link in the pinned comment! (I know making vids isn't free, its a necessary evil)

Speaking as a reloader for more than fifty years, and who doesn't lament the bad old days, Hornady One-Shot borders on the miraculous.
Older style case lubes and techniques required more skill and attention being paid. One-Shot is almost worry-free.

I must be an over-achiever. I've dented the shoulder of cases using a full length resizing die with the hole in it. In fact, my die looks EXACTLY like the one in the video. Forster 6.5 Creedmoor.

No matter what I do my lock ring ends up over my hole..and I’m sure I lube way more than most but if I don’t they stick…I paint it on with a toothbrush halfway down the case and ve tried less with no luck..use lee 4hole with lee dies..

Caleb needs to try his hair product as sizing lube, along with some lard or crisco, just to see how it works
