I disagree with that comment I do think stroud should be throwing 40 times a game. All the great ones do
All game we get into these garbage 2nd and long or 3rd and long situations and we get bailed out by CJ and the receivers. It’s incredibly frustrating because I’m thinking to myself how terrible the offense would look if CJ and Nico weren’t so fucking incredible on 3rd down
However, its the design of the team. Its the build of the players. Slowick has our Line and TE's designed to be blockers down field. we are a running game offense. Provided we have big weapons in the wide out positions, we are a ground pounding team.

Azeez was a real all-star for playing while sick yesterday. The man was still flying around the field.
If you want to stretch the entire field you have to throw into the flat. Depending on the coverage, stretching the field horizontally makes it easier to attack the field vertically. That's why Slowik calls the shallow sideline throws.

Seems every time Stroud's getting in his zone that's when Slowik decides on a first down to take the ball out of his hands. For the life of me, I don't understand what's up with that.
I know qb's have their #1 receiver, but I liked when cj spread the ball with more balance to all of the receivers.

Hutch isn't a speed burner but I remb. him running Post and streaks last season he was balls out to the end zone , he excels at that . Good hands & he has to be targeted more .
CJ Stroud 31 interception in fumble the ball and it still found a way to win
I'm not complaining about the play calling. Yet I did see some of the plays kill or didn't match the momentum of the drive.
So AGREE about the RB position....it has been so neglected!!! Must be addressed next draft early!!! PLEASE NICK!!!

Cam is avg 4 yards a carry. I think the real question is, why is Dare getting the ball over Cam. Cam isn't running bad by the numbers.
Diggs and Dell getting more targets may be good for this offense with Nico out.

the coaching did an awesome job this week, they went into the game with the perfect gameplan, its showed on the first drive how bad we need a scheme fit rb but they did a great job calling the game knowing that

In past seasons the Texans would have found a way to lose! Not anymore! They just need to find a way to not take their foot off the gas!
Nico needs to be benched vs the patriots. Regardless if he’s able to play or not, a hamstring injury will def linger if not treated properly. Tee Higgins missed many games cuz of a Hami (I think) even AJ brown this year.

So what's your not telling everybody is that the bills had a chance to score a field goal and the ball placement was not correct and they missed the field goals then the Texans an opportunity to 59 you are a field goal and or was accurate they made it and that's how they won the game also the coach for the bills used all the three-time house
And none of those four is a first round pick!

I fear the teams the refs will throw the game to. Cowboys fan online talking about the refs giving the game to the Cowboys. Then a headline about a SECOND (obviously referring to the Cowboys being the first) game thrown by the refs...to KC. They favor the favorites. Maybe the word will come down for the Texans to be the new darlings if they continue to succeed. Or maybe the league doesn't want KC fatigue....boring. Or maybe they need that villain the Pats used to be and will continue to give KC some help.

Slowik is awful!
I don't think Slowik is the man for the job at O.C., Stroud makes him look way better than he actually is. We have no running game without Mixon. Why? Because Mixon always runs through the first tackle, it takes two or three guys to bring him down. Our other backs don't have that ability. Most of our running plays die at the line of scrimmage. There are usually no holes to run through. That boils down to Slowik, I think our line is capable of creating at least some small holes. We need a better scheme. Also, Stroud is looking one- dimensional this season. Everything is predicated off Nico, we lack punch from the other receivers. With Nico drawing so much attention the other receivers should be feasting. It's just not happening. Slowik is trying to make us a run first offense and we don't have that ability. We should be a pass first offense, run second. Especially now with Mixon out. You should play to your strengths, not your weakness. Stroud should be turned loose on first down, not constantly be faced with third and long.
